I know this is a CP site, but this is related (CF-wise).
I was at ValleyFair's site a while ago seeing if there was any info on the Wild Thing incident and noticed this little tidbit of info on the Xtreme Swing page:
Swinging into the Park: Xtreme Swing
You wanted to go higher and faster as a kid…well, now you can! Call it a high-powered swing set; something you won’t find in your own backyard. New in 2006 is Xtreme Swing, an air-launched thrill ride. Towering 100 feet tall and carrying up to 40 passengers, Xtreme Swing takes riders up to 125 feet in the air while traveling up to 60 miles per hour mimicking a child’s swing set. This $6 dollar attraction is designed by S & S Worldwide Inc., who also designed Valleyfair’s popular ride Power Tower. "
For $6, I'm SURE that EVERYONE would have one in their backyards!!! ROFL!!

Still love it as a guest
Valleyfair's Xtreme Swing is the same ride as Skyhawk (40 seat S&S Screamin' Swing). The only difference is CP added a 3 foot sign on Skyhawk and labeled it as the tallest one of its kind. Xtreme is not a up-charge attraction like the 8 seaters at Dorney and Knott's.
I'd love to have one these in my backyard, but I don't think it will fit. :)
