Susan, welcome to Pointbuzz.

I suggest searching Pointbuzz as a new member for older topics and you might even find some other pretty cool topics of discussion. Searching will also allow you to see how posts are made and how the discussion flows inside those threads.

And yes, Dragster getting stuck at the top was nothing short of amazing.

I thought 2005 was the first time it was balanced at the top with riders on it? Did it happen with riders in '04?

Did the guy/girl that rode the elevator up just push the train over?!?!?! Couldn't they have in theory been sucked along with the train or caught on it? And how long did that elevator take to go up (for anyone who was there and saw it)

I wonder how hard it was for that man to push the train over...being over a ton and all.

I second that question! Thats snatched my curiosity since Ive seen the video. But along with being an object of 'large mass', it is on Wheels. I recall Mr.Freeze(SFoT) not rolling entirly back into the station being loaded, and the attendant had to walk out to the launch platform to push the train backwards so it would pass the prox switch and close the breaks - placing it in the load/unload position. But my point being, the train had to be pushed, it seemed somewhat hard to do, but it was easily done. Then again, this train was on a flat surface. So its gotta be heavy, like you said a ton+ to push; but the wheels must be a tremendous help!

Id love to push a fully loaded coaster train, that would just be flat out a blast! :-)

It prolly took almost no strength whatsoever to push it over, all that needed to happen was the balance had to be offset just the tiniest bit. Its not like its flat at the top, its a pretty sharp curve.

that is definantly a contributing factor. Thats a whole lotta potential energy, so all it would take at that apex at that height probably wasnt as much as we would think. I didnt even think about that at the moment I made that post!
