Hello Everyone. I just had a quick question. My Husband was looking at the Cedar Points Website last night and was thinking about treating his staff of 6 to a summer reward. He came across the VIP Experience. Have any of you ever done it? If you have, how was it?

Thanks!

If It wasn't for fun, Life would be all work. Now who wants that????

Yeah it is up there in price. And for 6 workers, well they better be good workers.

Two words: tax writeoff. Or would that be three? ;)

It would be a bit of money to write off, but if you have the cash, go for it.

Talk about increasing employee morale!!! Is he hiring?

That's SOOO much better than the random crap most companies hand out to their employees for attendance, safety, recruiting etc... I'm guessing most places spend that much on incentives for each employe, but it's nickel and diming, a $50 computer bag here, a $30 clock there, company t-shirt, family picnic, etc.

Actually right now Iam looking at the VIP Experience and we are prob going to do it this July or Early August! Its a Tax Write off in some ways but what works for us is the food, travel time, can be write offs because of its a Business Trip.

To me my crew deserves the trip if they go. But we always go to Cedar Point in August anyways for a company trip!

I saw Montel Williams using it in October of 2004. My wife and I were waiting at the palmistry attraction in the old Pirate Ride and he and his CP entourage and his daughters walked to the exit of Blue Streak, took the next train out of the station, and then came back out.

Montel also came earlier in 2004... Rode MF 3 times in a row, front seat.... lets just say the Front row queue was less than amused...

What exactly does the VIP treatment get you?

The Cedar Point website explains it pretty well. You get special parking, admission, front of line access for rides, and on ride pictures for the most part.

Does anyone know if they offer a break on the price for the VIP Experince for people who purchased a Season Pass and or a Season Parking Pass? I noticed its $350 per person plus and extra $50 per if you don't have 4.

I'm sure its probably the same price. I mean you get to cut everyone in line all day.

I think you should just go on a sunday or weekday in may and most of the rides should be walk on anyway.

Last year (before the program was advertised all over the website) we got a family who were being escorted by marketing. Since everyone who used the program up to that time were famous in some way, we inquired as to who they were.

"Just a normal family" said the man. "They came from Kansas and this is their first trip. They had to decide between spending $1500 on a normal Disney World vacation or a special trip here at Cedar Point. They picked us."

Awwww :)

Yeah I usually do come in May and September and it is usually close to walk-ons. Thats why I buy the seasons pass, I am not a local... but its worth the pass. Thats why I asked if they gave a discount for seasons pass holders because it would be sweet to have it for the July/August trip on the weekend when its 3 hrs for Top Thrill and at least 2 hrs for MF. I do think its rape and I think its unfair to those who can't afford it or chose not to purchase it, heck I can't really afford it but it would be nice to do it once.

Please don't equate waiting in line for a couple of hours to rape.

Rape is much worse than that.

Just don't use rape in the sexual-derogatory form in the above post, and the word fits in fine. I highly doubt Topthrill10 would level rape with legal line jumping. He simply chose to use an adjective of the English language now associated with a detestful crime. There are plenty of other words in the English language just like it that society has tainted.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.
