Walt, you did an amazing job. The photos, video, the memories, and press releases are all great. You never seem to disapoint.

For all of you who say the atmosphere will be destroyed if a they knock down all the trees, WWL didn't have many in 1982. You have to give landscaping some time and it'll eventually look great.

Thanks again Walt.

Very nicely done. One thing that I never got with WWL was how did the 2 chute operation work? What was the point of having 2 of them?

Watch the video. Boats go down the chutes every 10 seconds. The chutes need to refill with water after each drop. Capacity was slowed down during the rides later years making the double chute not necessary.

That's really cool! Thanks for putting that together! Makes me feel old that they took it down, it was always one of my faves!

WOW this site keeps amazing me!!! To do all that for a ride that's being taking out. WWL deserves all of it. It all was kind of touching. I never got to get on it but wile I was waiting to get on the train to go to MF I was watching it and a guy and I were commenting about the park then the rest of his family came down the drop and in front of us with smiles on there faces:). The only thing better then having a great day at CP is seeing another family having the same amount of fun. Great times...

Very impressive tribute page. It's sad to see that ride go.

Right column, second box from the top.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying it. It may have taken me a couple of months, and there was more that I wanted to do, but I think it turned out well.

I thought this was a neat find:

Me too. I saw that picture when you first posted them and thought that it was pretty cool. Then one day a while back I looked for it again but couldn't find it, which was because I was looking at the destruction photos. Is there just that one part that was there or was there more?
