What do you guys think? Do you think that it will be cool and rainy most of the summer with high gas prices? Do you think this will cause lower than expected attendance?

The magic eight ball says:

"Outlook is hazy."

Why do people ask this question time after time?

You should check out the prices in Illinois! Jeff, you should know by seeing the gas stations here on Monday. Over $2.00 for the cheap stuff a gallon. No matter what the prices it doesnt stop people from hitting the road so dont expect lower attendance. *** This post was edited by Chitown on 6/16/2000. ***

Well, for those heading to Cedar Point this weekend, beware. Gas prices for 87 are hovering around $2.04 in Sandusky.

Thanks Walt! Looks like I'll make sure to fill up in Pittsburgh on my way through.

FWIW, regular gas here in Harrisburg is still just over a buck and a half per gallon.

Glad I'm going to CP this weekend. Gas up here in Detroit is about $2.15 for 87 octane. Luckily I've got enough in the tank right now to get down there :)

It's $2.09.9 near me, and I'm on the west coast of the state. By comparison, South Bend, IN is around $1.80.

Incidentally, for those who live to the South...

On Sunday night, on my way home, I paid $1.899/gallon in Bucyrus. Everyplace else was $1.969-$2.069 between Columbus and Cedar Point.

It must be an Ohio thing. On the last PA Turnpike rest stop, gas was $1.55 for regular. At the first stop in Ohio, it was $1.85.

Scooter...

Yes, it was at the Speedway, I noticed it on the way up. But on the way home I noticed that the UDF had matched the price.

I noticed today that out here in Bexley the price has come down $0.10 (to $1.939) since last Thursday when it went up to $2.03. I hope this is a sign that tomorrow it will either remain unchanged or come down a few cents for a change...

--Dave Althoff, Jr., who notes that around here, gas prices change on Thursday at Noon...
