The last time I went to Cedar Point, the stretch of I-280 was closed between I-75 and OH-2. If I'm not mistaken, it says on the ODOT website that it is currently open. However, is it worth taking it, or is it too much of a hassle? I largely prefer to take OH-2 over the turnpike. But if the turnpike will be easier, I'll take that.
I haven't taken I-280 in a long time, too much hassle and time-consuming. I take the turnpike now and I don't think I will ever do I-280 again.
Maybe I will take I-280 again in the next few years, but that is just because I am curious to see how much they have gotton done!
Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast
I've been pretty satisfied with my new route for the most part.
I've been taking 23S to the Maumee exit, and getting onto the turnpike. $.50 toll to I-280 exit, and take that south on OH-420. Left on OH-163 and take that through Genoa and Oak Harbor. It runs into 2 in the freeway section. It's been my favorite route to the Point as of late.
It's been shorter between US23 and the MI/OH Border and where 163 meets up with 2 than taking 475 to 75 to 280 to 2.
It took me about 75 minutes from Cedar Point to cross the border into Michigan last time I drove it straight through. I left at 10, and crossed into Michigan at 11:15. I do believe I even stopped to fill up in Maumee.
