Chaos Problem?

Wicked Twister 90

When I was in line for Chaos yesterday, I noticed one of the cars scraped against the arm that lifts the ride up. After that ride the ride host asked the two riders in that car what happened. Then they called maintenance and I didn't see it run for the rest of the day. Did anyone else or hear anything about this?

Thats interesting. They just had it striped down for maintenance/check up after the previous incidents in other parks. Guess we'll see some more maintenance.

I didn't hear about it, but it wouldn't be surprising considering all the problems those rides have had. I guess SF is now removing all their Chaos rides now too. I don't know why CP doesn't just scrap it.

Is it possible for a car to scrape the arm?
On Thursday night my brother and I had observed how close it seemed some of the cars got to it, but I figured I was just being daft.

Well Cedar Point is going to remove a ride this late into the season. They will probably just keep it going for now and then you'll see it go. I personally love the ride and would be upset if they took that out. What would you put in it's place? That's my question.

Shawn, do you mean Cedar Point isn't going to remove a ride this late into the season?

Sure they would. Did you miss Chaos and Troika closing in late 2002? Of course, they both came back, though.

Chaos is a fun ride, but the restraints are extremely uncomfortable. I fit in them fine, but I don't get stapled. If you're not stapled in this ride, you will get thrown around like a rag doll, and it hurts. Maybe if it gets removed, they will add another flat in its place.

I meant to say Isn't. What ride would fit in Chaos tiny little spot? That position just seems too small.

They could just add seating right there. Right next to the ride is a food stand I believe.

Yeah there is some food stands real close to that area. It is a bit far from WT to add waiting seats but they could.

Im curious why all of the Chaos' in the nation decide to have problems all at once. I love this ride but am not sure if it is safe. I guess I will continue to take the chances. (this seemes to be the only troublesome ride made by chance-morgan rides)

Btw is it running again. I am going on aug 21 and hope it is running fine. (they already made it a mess by dismantling it and taking off the auto release) It takes to long to get out!!!!!! *** Edited 7/31/2005 11:51:16 PM UTC by cedarpoint24/7***

At once? Michigan's Adventure chaos problem was back in 2001.

sorry I meant was that they break down in clusters. Im not refering to it this year specifically. There was one year i cant seem to remember that about 4-5 were down at once (in the same week) for about the same reason.

A Chaos in New Jersey and one in Nebraska both had accidents during the same week. Right after that, CP dismantled theirs for a short time.
