Why are Intamin hypers/gigas...?

I put this in the MF section because it talks about MF, but it could ge either way because it talks about Raptor and Mantis too.

Why are Intamin hypers and gigas so weight and wind sensative?

When I was at the park watching MF's cars go out with the dummies and barely cresting the 3rd hill, and then watching Raptor's and Mantis's empty trains (with ride ops) I wondered why and how there can be so much of a difference. Why can B&M's complete their circuits so easily with no weight and running cold, while Intamin's can not?

Intamin's cars are far lighter than the B&M ones. The trains on MF are composed mainly of fiberglass, whereas there is much more metal on Raptor and Mantis.

uh... MF trains are not fiberglass.

No the MF trains are made of stainless steel. As said on the official site.

It's all about friction, baby, yeah! The grease in the wheel bearings is thicker when it's cold, so that's a part of it. There's something about warmer track/wheels that make it faster as well. Why is Intamin more sensitive about this? Beats me... I don't know enough about the differences in their wheel assemblies compared to B&M rides.

I am guessing that maybe since The Raptor and Matis are older there for are more worn in. Along with all of what everyone else said.

Older, but not really. Every year every coaster's wheel assemblies are stripped down and rebuilt with new bearings and often new wheels.
