RipCord Reservations

After reading the Cedar Point brochure, it looks like they recommend phone reservations for the RipCord. How far in advance do they accept these reservations? Do you have to confirm it with a credit card?

When I want to ride it. I went to the Rip Cord in the morning and then made my reservation and paid cash for it.

I think they say the same thing for Xtreme Skyflyer at Kings Island. I have ridden it twice, both times without a reservation. I just walked up, paid, and was on my way. I guess Ripcord would use a similar system, but since it is a different park, it might not.

I personally have never ridden it (too much money XD), but I go through Challenge Park a lot (Magnum entrance) and the RipCord booth never looks terribly busy. I think that you should be okay with no reservation, but if you want you could call or email for more info.

The booth isn't busy because everyone has a res. and they just show up when it is time. The best thing to do is make your res. early in the day, at the booth, go ride some coasters and come back at your reserved time. Thats what I did last year and it worked out great.

There's really no need to make a phone reservation, except *maybe* on the 4th of July.

Most of the time if you head up to the ticket booth and say "Hey, I'd like to ride Ripcord" you'll be on the thing within 20 minutes. You can always go to the booth in person and say that you'd like to ride later in the day if you are afraid of getting shut out.

Although, I haven't ridden Ripcord since this incident back in 2002, and probably never will again, so my info may not be the most up-to-date on the subject.

Let us know if their crew sucks this year or not.

I only got brave enough to ride a Skycoaster once when I was 16. Probably the scariest thing I've ever done!!!
