Killer Package Price for Breakers Express

Just an FYI - CP is offering some absolute killer resort packages this year. The one we are using for Memorial day weekend is at Breakers Express, and includes:

2 Nights Accomodations, 2 - Funday Tickets, 2 - Starlight Tickets, 10% Coupon for selected restaurants on Point, 8 Breakfast Express Coupons, 2 - Soak City Buy-One-Get-One-Free Admission Coupons and a Parking Voucher.

This is very nice for us, as we are passholders, but always end up taking a friend or two of our daughter at least once or twice during the season, so we always need a couple of tickets.

The price we booked for Memorial Day weekend was $115.50 + tax per night, for a total of $123.90 per night. In my opinion, this is an outstanding value, especially since Breakers Express is a nice property, and close to the park. The price will go up as the holiday weekend approaches, so I suggest you book early. We will be staying there the nights of May 28 & 29. Hope to see some of you at the park!

I already have it booked, and this has no relevance to this thread, but what is Breakers Express like? I'm going the weekend of the 14th, and was just wondering of some people's opinions.

Breakers Express is actually a very nice property. Fairly new, and nice amenities like hair dryers in the room. A good, basic motel to crash, shower, and regroup for more CP fun. I think all the beds are queens. There is a guest-laundry room with washers and dryers. Ice machines everywhere. They have a nice pool and outdoor play area, and a Jacuzzi. Breakfast is available, but not free, however, the coffee is free, and is usually pretty good, and usually available by 6:30 or 7:00am. Breakfast consists of continental-type fare, something to get you out the door and into the park, at typical prices The staff has always been courteous and efficient, in my experience. I have always liked the rates there, and being so close to the park is a plus, in the morning, and after a long day in the park! Gee, can you tell I like the Breakers Express?

BE is best compared to other Rt-6/Rt-250 hotels. It is nicer than most of those, and usually comparably priced. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, and moderately-well furnished. Most other off-point hotels are either threadbare, not particularly clean, have ridiculously cheap furnishings, are expensive, or some combination of these.

All in all, it's usually a good value.

I agree 100%. I believe that is because CP has a very good understanding of the total resort picture. If the guest is going to be at the park, or one of the ancillary facilities anyway, why not provide accomodations at comparable prices, and throw in advantages that the other area hotels/motels cannot offer, like the early entry, and discounts on tickets and parking. Personally, I like BE because the quality level is very consistent, from stay-to-stay. Sure, any place will have glitches from time to time, but BE is well-run, clean, safe, and close. What more could you ask for at a bargain price? Plus, the packages they are offering this year are far better than any I have seen in the past. CP is definitely agressively marketing to the 2-day visitor.

I've never stayed at motels in Sandusky, but I've stayed in my share. And usually you get what you pay for. Sometimes you'll find a great deal, but if you're paying 39 dollars a night then you'll get a 39 dollar a night room.

$123.90 for all that? That's a great freakin deal, especially if you split it up with a couple of people.

Now to get one of my friends who is old enough to book a room to book it for us ;)
