Does anyone know the length of the seat belts on MF and TTD? Just curious.

If I remember correctly by looking at the belt it might have been 2-2.5 feet. I also know they want at least one inch of spare belt when you sit it the seat.

So it's a 24-30 inch belt?

Correct, and the belt does not apply to me. I'm a 32 inch.

Well, if he's still young, it's not a suprise. I'm 15, 6'2" and I have a 32 inch waste. It's possible.

I have a 42-44 inch waste. I'm currently on a diet, and I have lost about 30 pounds.

I have a size 38-40 waist and have to suck it up when I ride MF. I have an easier time with TTD.

I have a 31-32 inch waist, kind of funny ain't it. Whats weird the last ride of the season on Millennium Force for me, the belt was hard for me to fasten. I must of been sitting in one of those seats that the belt is different from the others.

I'm trying to get to a 36-38 inch waste, just like my dad. I've been dieting, and I workout and run on my tred mill everyday.

I'm sick of the belt rule...

Oh yeah... I have a question about Intamin.

Why does Intamin make their seats/belts smaller than those of Arrow, Vekoma, and B&M?

Because Intamin rides have a reputation for tossing people to their deaths in the last few years.

That's definetly not a good reputation to have.

^ Did Arrow ever really make seatbelts for their rides?

That's an interesting question...

With the possible exception of Mad Mouse and later, I'm inclined to think they never did!

Yes, but just as on Mine Ride, Gemini, Jr. Gemini, Mantis:TCFKAB, Woodstock, and Wildcat, the seat belts were supplied by Cedar Point. The only coasters where seat belts are original equipment are Blue Streak, Mean Streak, Millennium Force, Dragster, and of course the safety belts on Raptor.

Seat Belts are part of the original design of Blue Streak? Wasn't that built before seat belts were even part of the original design of most cars? I didn't think seat belts (in cars) became mandatory till the late 60's, so for a coaster to have them seems kinda odd.

The only thing I can think of is that the lapbars were added later, but lapbars seem to be such an integral part of a coaster design that for it to have been designed with belts and not the bars seems odd.

Goodbye MrScott
