A question about Hotel Breakers

I went for it and made reservations for Hotel Breakers (on a package) for May 18th and 19th (going to Kalahari the 20th).

I noticed the suite that I picked can be in "Breakers East" floors 1-3 or "Tower" on the 3rd or 9th floor.

Which is better and which has a nicer lakeview?

I am so excited that I am going to finally stay "on Point" instead of Breakers Express.

I am kind of bummed that they said we could not "upgrade" the starlight tickets to full days. I wonder why they don't allow that.

What are the best features of Hotel Breakers and what is their best restaurant?

Some of the rooms in East are physically closer to the beach, but the tower has rooms at a higher elevation.

Do you prefer one over the other?

I like the park view rooms on the upper floors of the Tower section. You can see most of the park from front to back in certain rooms and has a great view of Snoopy's Summer Spectacular with the rides all lighted at night. On the lake side, the view is just as good as the East wing to me.

The Ship's Store and Intermissions are nice little gift shops with The Ship's Store also having snacks, magazines, etc...

Beaches "N" Cream, T.G.I. Fridays, Mama Chetta's pizza, Pool Side Deli, Dominics, and The Coffee Shop are your food choices.

Search around looking at pictures etc, and you'll like it. Overall, I think it's 110% better than Breakers Express.

I like the ones with the screened-in patio. I forget which parts of the building have those, but I think it's mostly in East.

I've stayed on Point at all of the resorts, except one. Sandcastle Suites. While our stay at Breakers was most enjoyable, it swayed me away from conquering (sp?) Sandcastle. Lighthouse Point is the way I prefer to go. Already have reservations for a cabin in May. You get the best of both the camping expierence and the hotel one and lose the negatives of both.

I doubt I'll ever stay off Point again.

This is my first stay also at Hotel Breakers. I've always stayed at Express. Although i wanted a east or towers section room, I settled for a room in the old Bon-Air section. Simply because i'm hardly ever going to be in the room except to sleep, shower, or change clothes. A lake view would be nice but, only if you're gonna spend time there. If not, why waste the extra cash? I'm definately looking forward to my stay June 20-25th because it seems to be more convienent to stay "on property".

So, i cannot help you with your questions, but i can say i hope you enjoy your stay because i know i will!

The best trip I ever had was partly due to staying at the Hotel Breakers. The staff was really friendly and the rooms weren't too bad. The only problem I has was they stuck me in a corner room and it seemed like people were passing by our room all night. Other than that, I can't find anything to complain about.

I stayed on the 8th floor of the tower last year in a suite, the view was amazing...you could see part of Magnum, Wicked Twister the beach, it was awsome.....

I always used to stay at breakers in a suite which are great.. then we tried sandcastle but it was kind of a trek to walk back and fouth all the time if you missed a bus. But recently Ive been staying at the lighthouse cottages, they have such a home like feeling at night and its nice having the seclusion. But everyone has a preference.

Well i guess i'll find out my preference this year. ;)

Yeah, this year I'll be staying in a Breakers suite also. I'm pretty stoked since every year before I've just been in the regular rooms. How big are the rooms? and when it says two rooms, does it mean two seperate rooms, or one big room with two different openings for a bed?

It means just what it says: two rooms. You will enjoy your stay!
