It was the Pirate Ride that went away in 1995. That was replaced by the Quaterdeck Arcade. In 2003 the arcade was gone and nothing was in the building. It is used for Halloweekends now and it is located by Game Day Cafe and you pass by the side of the building when you enter the line for Blue Streak. You can still see the canons on the side of the building today.

Why put arcade games in it? There is the cost of electricity and having someone either there to give out change/reset machines, or having someone rotate there. Apparently the cost didn't outweigh the income from having games there.
A quick service would be nice, but there is the problem of what to do with the storage that it is being used for now. I doubt we'll see anything happen to this building anytime soon.

Ohh, thanks for the info, I've never been in the area back there by Blue Streak and Calypso. I have been pretty much everywhere in the park but there and I have ridden every non-kiddie roller coaster except Blue Streak. This season I will venture back there and ride Blue Streak and complete my check list so I can buy this shirt! http://www.cfmarketplaces.com/acb/stores/1/product2.aspx?SID=1&Product_ID=167
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
My first visit to Cedar Point was August 11th and 12th of 2003. It wasn't until after I went to the park that I became very interested in it. When I went we stayed at Lighthouse Point so we entered the park through the Magnum entrance so we were no where near the front of the park. I went with my cousins and they had been there before so they showed me around but all I wanted to do was go on the big ones. When we eventually did get to the front of the park I saw Blue Streak and I said that I didn't want to go on it because it was so small compared to the rest. Now that I am a HUGE Cedar Point fan I have learned that each and every one of the roller coasters at Cedar Point has something fun and awesome about them. I went to the park twice in 2004 and still never made my way to Blue Streak and I deeply regret that so on my first trip in 2005 I will deffinetly ride Blue Streak.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
