Scrambler height restriction

I notice that scrambler is now: no one under 36", under 48" only with responsible person. I'm pretty sure that it used to be anyone under 48" w/responsible person. Anyone know when/why it changed? I'm assuming the change relates to the death on a Playland scrambler early this season, but am just guessing.

At my place of employment here in Kalamazoo, Michigan; we have some rides from Zamprela( ballons, biplanes), maxflights, 4d Theater, and morphis ridetheater. We uped the hieghts on our rides because we found out although a person may be tall enough to ride at ride at manufacter's sugested height , they may not be able to fit properly or reach emergency stops that are installed in each ride. Plus since we are regualted by the state, we have to change restrictions as they see fit. If anyone would like to check out our attractions web site feel free to send me a private message and i can send you a link

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

I didn't notice Scrambler had changed its height restriction. Did it happen in mid-season? I remember (probably 10 or 12 years ago) Witches' Wheel used to allow hand-held infants on. It was my nephew's favorite ride and I'm pretty sure that was a mid-season change, as well.

The Witches' Wheel with hand-held infants? That highly worries me. Someone needs to check some old Cedar Point maps/park guides and see if they can confirm this.
