The Alien Adventure show was probably the best I have ever seen! It was more of a ride than a show to me!

A colony of extra terrestrials beings have come to Earth to make a new colony and become one with the Earthlings. They end up landing at a state of the art theme park, not yet open to the public. What happens next is both humorous and Frightening. I give this film two thumbs up. It makes you laugh while keeping you on the edge of your seat. The audience actually cheered at the end (opposed to walking out). It finally puts to use the full force of the Imax. I don't recommend this for the faint of heart. For it makes you feel like you are there.

It's not a "real" IMAX movie.

I was impressed...it really felt like you were on the coasters...I really enjoyed it rather than just sleeping through it to get an air conditioned break like I usually do.

Gemini, What do you mean it wasn't real? It is probably the best Imax I have seen.

I believe Gemini is intimating that this is not the standard fare for IMAX productions compared to those those ...exciting... documentaries we have gotten rid of---err--used to.

When I see an IMAX movie, I want to see movies that are like Everest, The Dream is Alive, Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets, To Fly, The Magic of Fligh, Speed, or the new movie Dolphins. I want a movie to take advantage of the format, not just a fancy VR ride.
I was very impressed with the animation, it just isn't what I expect when I think of an IMAX film.

I don't know -- I gotta tell ya that the Stones concert in IMAX was very cool!

Keep in mind that Imax also made "blockbusters" like "Race to Atlantis," "Pirates," "Star Trek," and many more. There is no standard for Imax.

From descriptions, though, it sounds like this year's show is built from various ride-film clips...sounds potentially nauseating to me...
I don't know. I haven't seen it yet.
