Halloweekends Time Consuming???

Since my family hasn't been to CP in two years, and probably won't go for another two years, we try to make the most of it when we go (Riding every ride we can the most times we can), would it change how many rides we get on a bigger coaster if we did the haunted houses and everything? If so, about how much time would it take out of the day? Because we could just go to haunted houses here in Michigan ya know?

Another question, since it is late in the season, (October 9th, Saturday) would that affect the chance of how many rides would be closed as if we went in july?

One more...what is werewolf canyon and what is a fright zone?

I was there the same weekend as you last year and Saturday the 10th which I'm sure many people remember was absolutely mobbed. I would suggest going on Sunday. Also if your just going for the day I would ride the rides, a few flats and try to go through the Fright Zone a few times because theres no line to go in. On Saturdays in Halloweekends all the rides should be open like all the other days.

Yeah, but do you think it will be the same just because last year was?

I doubt any day will be as crowded as it was on the 10th for a while. It's just coincidental that a ton of people decided to go on that Saturday.

I don't think the haunted house will take alot of time. You can go on the rides first and then you can go in a few haunted house but at 8' o clock at night the fright zone and the new Carnevil is just a walk through so you don't have to wait in lines. Also the longest my cousin waitied in a Haunted house was maybe about 30-20 mins. But i suggest at night the fright zone.
Yeah the Fright Zone was the best. No lines it is filled with fog and you get more scares then the haunted houses. Especialyl with them ringing that cow bell in your ear.

...Or when a crazy guy crashes cymbals in your ear... let me tell you, that was not fun!
I don't think it was coincidence. I think it was really great weather. In 2002 I went on the "October Indian Summer Saturday" and while it wasn't 2003 OISS-mobbed, it was pretty darn busy.

A sunny October saturday with forecasts in the 70s gets everyone thinking that they ought to go to the park one last time.

"OlSS-mobbed"? What's that?

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Walk through Fright Zone and check out Carnevil. That way you can ride your rides, and get in on the Halloweekends stuff without wasting alot of extra time.

Magnum still rocks.

Halloweekends has lots to offer that you can only get from the park once a year for a limited time, I'd say get your rides in early and check out the Fright Zone and CarnEvil and if you feel up to it check out one or more of the haunted houses.
