Hey all.I have a question to ask and hope someone can answer it. I was looking at the schedule for the Sept/Oct.times and trying to plan a trip to get out there.I noticed that every Sunday in Oct has a closing time of 8pm. However on Oct 10 I noticed it is a 10pm closing time.Just wondering if there is a special event going or something.Just seems wierd that that day has a late closing time. Thanks in advance.
I think its some sort of holiday, but I'm not sure. The only thing I can think of is that's when I'm going to see Ron White in TOL. It's like that for a reason I just don't remember. *** Edited 8/27/2004 10:16:50 AM UTC by crashoverride***

The next day is Columbus day, not that it really means anything anyways. How many people do you know plan a vacation or trip around Columbus Day? That is one idea that has been tossed out there. The other one is that they are testing a closing time of 10pm to see if there would be enough people to warrant staying open that late on a Sunday in October. Personally, I buy the second reason.

Some schools and businesses close on Columbus Day. It is also a federal holiday, so all government offices, banks, etc. are closed. I would imagine that's the reason the park is open until 10 p.m. on that Sunday. The park is probably anticipating a higher than normal crowd.

I'm planning to go that weekend, and I am hoping for cooler weather, like in the low to mid 50's. Not winterish weather, but at the very least hoodie and maybe even winter hat weather.

Yeah, Columbus personally wiped out the entire Native American population.

I will be there on October 10th as well, but unlike JuggaLotus, I hate wearing hoodies and hats so I am hoping it will be 60s to 70s .... but I think thats asking much sometimes with the weather here in Ohio !! :)
Blasphemy....:) I really hope its cool out because that keeps the crowds down and makes it easier to ride as many rides as possible....I just hope the cool August means it will be a cool fall (although its warmed up a bit this week, on average we have been low, not to mention we have not hit 90 once all summer here in West Michigan)
