Lighting Effects on Power Tower

Has anyone noticed that PT's lights aren't "chasing" colors this year. I was there 3 evenings this season and each time the lighting is just boring white, where as MF is still doing the chasing colors. Anyone know why? Maybe just being forgetful?

I haven't noticed this year, since I haven't been yet! But, I bet they are getting lazy and don't want to use the multi colors on Power Tower.

That was one of my favorite parts of driving home from CP was looking back and seeing Power Tower and MF in the distance.

The PT lights did work for the first few weeks of the season, then I noticed the colors got all screwed up and one tower would have one color while the others were a different color. After that, they just went to all white.

They never really seemed to work 'right' at all this season. Who knows whats up with it.

If they are like other intelligent lighting, you have to "home" them. Simply pushing a button that synchronizes all lamps and their gobos (color wheels and wheels with different shapes on them inside each unit). If it is more than that, a corporate decision might be, that since the lights do not draw in the crowd, they are not worth the investment of the repair. Unfortunately though that may be true, it does give it a "broken" or "run-down" effect, which in turn, is a negative. It's a shame it really does look incredible at night when it works.

On the 4th of july i remember power tower and MF both set on red white & blue last few years, not this year though for either (well, power tower hit the white)

The lighting on that ride has never worked consistently. Perhaps that's why Vari-lite gets far fewer architectural gigs than High-End Systems.
