Opening Day 2004

Opening Day FINALLY!!!

My fiance Eric, one of my friends Wendy and I will be there all day. Raptor 1st (of course ;)) then taking in the sights and sounds of CP.

I think 1 of the meeting times was usually like 5:30pm in front of Raptor - plan on that one and if anyone has another please post time and location! :)

Can't wait to kick that Sandusky sky once more and hang out with all my Po!nter buds (aka "Groupies" ;))
Although I must admit kicking that Orlando sky MANY times this winter on Fire and Ice was rather cool and made my CP withdrawal not as drastic.

[SARCASM] Ah, lets just hope that pile of B&M steel AKA, piece of $%^$ (Raptor) is not down like a year or two ago at the start of OD. [/SARCASM] Now are we sure we want to start on Raptor?

I mean come on now, going to that back gate and sitting on empty magnum trains for the last two OD's has been nice. Where as the crowd piles into the Raptor line and it gets to it's traditional 1-2 HR wait in the morning. Then it is the traditional late afternoon short wait. Yet Raptor is a superior ride to magnum. So I am still deciding on where to start.

Regarding the other meeting times:

In 2002 it was noon at Magnum, and 5 at Raptor. And in 2003 there was the Dragster tailgate party. Here was the 2003 meeting times.

Hey, been a longgg time since I posted. I am also going to try to go on opening day this year. I couldn't make it last year, but hopefully this year will work out. If I go, I'll be at that 5:30 meet @ Raptor (or whatever other ones are decided on).

I will be there on Opening Day 2004, just like I was there for Opening Day 2003. I don't have any plans for the day so maybe i'll meet up with all of you at Raptor around 5:30.

I'm going to be in the park, but with vertically-challenged offspring, so I can only wave from afar....

However, my daughter has crested 46", so it will likely be a day of power-riding Disaster Dragon for me!

It depons on if I am working there or not. If I am not working there, I will head over to TTD then Magnum.

Hooper......I'm in disbelieve that you said that Raptor is a pile of B & M steel or piece of $hit.....I think Raptor is a B & M masterpiece..................................but hey everybody has their opinions! :)

Well you know I also believe that the middle of Raptor is the best place to ride and sitting on the inside and not outside. cough.

Let me go edit my first post then you can read it again and get my drift. :)

Hope to see everyone there opening day. Hooper, hopefully we won't be bombed with nickels this year when we're down by dragster. ;) Hopefully I'll hit my 1000th lap on Magnum within a week or so...But hopefully a certain Magnum loser won't be there -- yeah Dan, I'm talking to you. Just kidding man.
