Went to the Cleveland/Minnesota baseball game last night. My employer had a group outing and it was Cameron's first baseball game.

Anyway, I was surprised to see that the ceremonial first pitch was thrown out by John Hildebrandt, Cedar Point's VP of Marketing. My wife said, "you should take a picture." I replied, "yeah, that's a good idea." Well, by the time we talked about it and I got my camera out, this is all I ended up with.

Also, to further add to the "Cedar Point" theme of the evening, Pete (GTTP celebrity and moderator) happened to be sitting one section over from our group.

The company used to get season tickets in the club section. I assume there was an in-kind arrangement set up. I am sure that relationship is still in tact.

I should also mention that he was announced as "representing Pepsi."

Yea, CP USE TO BE a huge sponser of the Indians...The Raptor video was shown on the jumbotron before every game. Also, Soak City sponsered rain delays. (did the tarp have the Soak City logo on it?). The MF vidoe was alos shown before every game.

CP did not contiue the relationship/sponsership last season.

I bet John throw out the first pitch as a perk from Pepsi (who has one of the behind the plate field level suites.

Heck if the pitch made it to theplate John could probably get a job with the Tigers.

OTT

P.S. Since when is Pete a "CELEBRITY"? Did he appear on Most Wanted ?

Pete was likely representing the breweries of America.

Hey!!! Watch those Tigers jokes. Even if it's losing, at least they're the best at something. :)

Well, let me put down my beer can (hiccup), guide me right up there to the mound (hiccup) and point to the direction the ball should go! (hiccup)

Pete - who used to hang out with a group called SNOB (Society of Northern Ohio Brewers)!

Scott, they still have 8 games to lose before they are "the best" of the worst.
