For the rumors posted on screamscape, does any one know if there are any truth to them as far as what is posted for CP? If so, so happy about the master blaster!! (the website is www.screamscape.com under news and rumors for those who are not famillar with it)

Strange that the rumor is posted after we have a discussion about it, though. Don't you think?

You have to relize that people like jb contribute to the rumors. Have all of you already forgotten about the rumor that Jumbo Jet was in a warehouse in Sandusky and would be coming back in 2000!?

I'm not saying that the Master Blaster rumor is correct, but Screamscape rumors tend to be more reputable than some other sources (like Thrillride). I wouldn't rule out this rumor at all, it makes sense that next year, the park would expand Soak City.

Totally agreed, Soak City IS long overdue for an expansion. I think it's just too ealry to put any real stock in this rumor. I'm sure July will shed some light on next year's true plans.

When talking about Thrillride and Screamscape, we need to remember they are posting RUMORS. They should only be taken as that.

The Jumbo Jet was pretty good for the time. It was kind of cool because it went up in a spiral instead of straight up a lift hill, and you sat one in front of the other, like a log ride. That was good when riding with a girlfriend. I guess as a rollercoaster it would be considered awfully tame these days, but at the time it was top dog.

Another great ride from those days and in that part of the park was the double ferris wheel. (Of course, the park had many fewer zones in those days.)

CP's old Jumbo Jet currently operates in Coney Island, NY. I love to shoot down rumors. :)

Actually, it's not. Jumbo Jet opened at La Feria Chapultepec Magico near Mexico City in 1993 where it is now called the Tornado.

For those of you who have no idea what an uphill waterslide is, check out the Master Blaster product line webpage at:
http://www.nbgsintl.com/blaster.html
None of the graphics work, but it has a nice text overview. Hope this helps!
