question?

Just a quick question an this can be closed; while we where are CP I noticed that the back spike on WT green supports rock side to side, has this been going on all the time. I never really noticed it before. I know the yellow track moves.

Yup, WT is a ride that has or had structural problems. Stand next to ocean motion and watch the trains go up the back spike.

well, they sway on purpose, all those types of rides do that.

i assume the structural problems came from the spikes swaying too much, so they placed supports higher up the spikes.

Yes, it works on the same principal as most skyscrapers do. Something has to be able to give a bit, or there would be too much stress on the track. Mother nature and gravity are holding their ground, so the track must be flexible to some extent. Actually, by making it move there will be less structural problems than if it were held straight.
