Breakers/Sandcastle how close?

Hi. I'm joining my brother's family for our first trip to the park. They are staying with the kids at Sandcastle Suites. I want my own room, but I'm by myself. Obviously, most of the rooms on the Point are for families. The Breakers has a room that is almost affordable although still expensive for a single person (I haven't checked availability). Since my brother will have the only car, I can't stay outside the park.
What I'd like to know is...
If I stay at the Breakers, how convenient/inconvenient will it be for me to walk over to their hotel for breakfast, or to meet up with them in the morning? Would I walk through the park or up the beach?

From Breakers to Sandcastle is a short stroll along the beach. There is a little path that leads around by Magnum's pretzel turn that goes directly from Breakers to Sandcastle. It is probably about a 5 minute walk at the most.
