Broken Collarbone Limitations

MiLLeNNiuMRiDeR

My friend broke his collarbone about 2 1/2 months, and stopped wearing his sling about a month ago. He said the bone is still fusing together. We're going to CP on Tuesday with our Physics class and I told him to probably avoid any of the rides with OTSR's. Am I right or wrong in telling him this limitation, and are there other limitations he should probably know about?

Primary question: Does it hurt?

My experience is that the rides with shoulder bars are probably not that big of a deal. But he should be a little bit careful. What kind of a rider is he? He should avoid trying to brace himself with that particular arm, and waving arms wildly in the air is probably not a smart thing to do either.

In short, shoulder bars should not be a problem, but be careful of arm motion and forces applied on arms. Be aware of what hurts and what doesn't, and be aware that it won't hurt until he does something bad. Then it will really hurt.

For more information, he should contact the park's Operations Office, but I am guessing that they will want to be more cautious than I am suggesting.

I'd avoid the blue streak and mean streak and mantis, they are the roughest rides in the park.

Tell your Friend he can't ride Mantis! Also Try to stay away from riding in the back of corkscrew trains and also Mean Streak he might be ok on blue Streak. The only really inverted coaster he should go on is Raptor.

Corkscrew would really screw it up. I would imagine that TTD would't be good either.
