There is still a lot of work to do with the ride, everything still looks really choppy, and for all we know full circut testing hasnt started yet. Am i the only one thinking possibly ttd wont open on the 4th? Im going out the 10th to the 15th. I am so hoping its open!

And Media Day, which is even earlier.

Don't worry, it'll be open. If I remember correctly, Wicked Twister didn't start testing until around the 18th.

If TTD is to be open for media day, than when will the vip ride auction riders get their ride if they're supposed to be the first ones to ride it. I thought they were supposed to ride on the 4th but i must be wrong. Am I?

In the Sandusky Register yesterday, they had an article about the auction and said that the winners get their ride when the park officially opens on May 4.

If you go here: http://www.firelandsredcross.org/topthrilldragster/viprideinfo.html to the bottom bullet it states:

Cedar Point will be hosting a private event on Saturday, May 3 before the park opens to the public on May 4.

So, the VIP riders have been notified that they will not be the first people to actually ride TTD.

Read more carefully, it says you'll be among the first to ride, not the first. The high bidders will get the first rides on opening day (May 4). But before that, there is Media Day, then the Longaberger company day on the 3rd. Though it isn’t all about getting first rides, the money goes to a good cause.

Sorry about that, i misunderstood what it said. I thought when it was saying that you would be among the first to ride i thought that it meant if you bid high enough than you will be among the auction riders who got to go first, but when you state it that way it makes sense. But i agree that even if you don't get to ride it first, all the money goes to charity, so everyone should bid!

I give TTD a 85% chance of opening on May 4th to the public. In the case that it doesn't open, I would place my money on a small problem with the PLC with blocking since the system is extremely redundant.
