Should Cedar Point add a wild mouse?

I kind would like to see this happen. Maybe this could be the rumored family coaster to take the place of Peanut's Playground. I know wild mouses don't have a huge capacity but CP could make it work plus many older guest still remember the old wild mouse that stood at the approxomate site of Midway market and the Scamper which stood where the Matterhorn stands now.

The 'Mad Mouse' at Cedar Fair park "Michigan Adventure" is one of our favorite ride of the kids. (Mine too!) I do think the riders/hour might be too low unless they limited it to smaller kids (Groan)

Can you give more information on this rumored coaster you are talking about on the Peanuts Playground?

I would love for a wild mouse. However I do see a capacity problem. I do think CP could add a couple of junior coasters to their family sections. A mini-inverted like PKI's (please not a clone!) would be great. Its cheaper and would increase coaster numbers. It will also give a broader appeal to them, since some people don't know about the family side of CP.

I THINK THAT CP SHOULD GET A WILD MOUSE I THINK THE PERFECT PLACE WOULD BE WHERE THE WILD CAT STANDS AND THEN MOVE THE WILDCAT OVER BY THE GEMINI AND THE BATHROOMS THINK THERE COULD BE ROOM.

Doubt that would happen..

That area is a rather important entry/exit point for CP vehiclesof all kinds and kind of an important point for EMT vehicles.

It seems every season, maybe every month, I hear a rumor/idea of replacing Wildcat with a Wild Mouse. It may be an eye sore but Wildcat is a fun ride! I know CP wants to replace the old for the new (i.e. Schwabinchen aka "The Sandlot Ride") but some classics need to stay.

I know the removal of it is doubtfull, but if CP does remove Blue Streak....well, wow.

Never rode a mouse before. It'd be great to see one since it doesn't take up much room. The only thing that confuses me is why do almost all wild mouses have to be named after a mouse? Why not a raccoon or a bear?

This may sound dumb, but what exactly is a wild mouse? Chances are we just call it a diff name over here. We have cat and mouse rides where there are 2 cars sim in design to wildcat cars that chase each other about, sorta a ride like wildcat, but more violent. Is this it, or no?

There are a couple different Wild/Crazy Mouse coasters, ScottishLou. Some are wooden, some are steel. You can get a good look at many if you go to www.rcdb.com and search for Mouse.

I've always thought a good place for a Wild Mouse would be inside of the Mean Streak. There is a lot of room in there. I wouldn't be suprised if CP found a way to get a larger coaster inside that area.

I'd go for a spinning wild mouse. The one at Kennywood is kind of fun! :) Too many of the plain mice I've ridden are overbraked and just not all that much fun.

An Arrow Virginia Reel could solve Cedar Point's capacity problem. Plus, it would be a nice addition to Cedar Point's family rides. I would post a link to Arrow's web site, but it has been down for the past week or two.

The perfect place for a wild mouse would be in the Peanuts Playground.

Except that that is one of the few places where the really little folk can have fun, and it gets a surprising amount of use. At least, I was surprised until I had kids, and then I understood.

I agree CoasterKrazy, I would love to see a Virginia Reel at CP. I say tear down the Oceana Stadium, or the picnic pavilion by Demon Drop and put it there. This would solve the capacity issue because I believe about 8-people can fit in each barrel and we would have a spinning wild-mouse type coaster. Problem is, I don't believe any exist.

Arrow's was a more modern looking virginia wheel than that pic. But that does sound interesting, tallest virginia wheel in the world. Since there is not that many, it doesn't have to be that tall!

Though I wouldn't ride it, others would. And it would be an inexpensive ride/coaster to add.
