Audio/Visual effects

In addition to the tower x-mas tree lights, what other effects do you think may accompany this coaster/theming of the ride?

Some I have thought about have included:

* Smoke trails jetting out behind the coaster as it traverses the launch. (Doubt this would be implemented for various reasons.)

* Sound effects with positional sound so that when launched, the sound of a real dragster revving down the strip would be heard, following the train down its launch. (Would be cool, but I'm sure the sound of the launch will be much more unique and entertaining.)

* Laptime towers...displaying max speed, lap-time, avg. speed, etc...

My apologies upfront if this has been discussed in prior posts. I did do a search for similar topics/discusions.

Now that would be very cool.

Displaying the same max speed, average speed, and lap time over, and over, and over again?

Sure, a variance of a mph or two here and a second or two there may occur due to a multitude of variances... but who really cares? You'll be launched at 120mph. You already know that. Do you need a bunch of lights to tell you that?

Sounds like a waste of money to me.

I agree with that. Plus it's not a friggin airport! It's an amusment park! People get off the rides and run to another! No one wants to see your ride compared with others! There's really no advantage to it.

How about putting lights on the train? At night, the train will light up, and when it launches a streak of light will seem to take off into the sky. I think that would look cool.

How bout using prox sensors to chase the train around the whole track with smart lights, or Color Changers, the same lighting effects they have on the MF lift hill and PT.

If you enjoy drag racing (and I do), the idea of a random laptime tower would add to the "dragster" effect. I think that would be a great idea.

I like the idea, but I would never look at it. I wouldn't complain about it being there, but it just doesn't have my vote. I'm sorry :(
