Is any one else having trouble bringing up CP's webpage for "Top Thrill Dragster?" I've got a cable modem, and it's still taking like 10 minutes to fully bring it up!

They have a note on their front page which explains that they are having technical difficulty from all the traffic caused by the interest in Dragster.

I'm kind of surprised that they haven't added TTD to the banner at the top of their home page. I wonder, if they do, if it will be animated like MF is. It would be really neat to see the lights flash downward on the tower and then see the train go up and over the top. Are they limited to only one animation in the banner area or can they do more than one? Excuse my ignorance, but I have no idea what is involved with that type of thing.

They put up a bunch of new construction pictures as well but they all lead to broken links.

They willl probably change it after a while, the whole picture could be animated like a 10-20 frame movie if they wanted to. It's pretty much a picture file with a bunch of different frames that play in a row. So they might take a little longer to edit that because it involves a little more work then just drawing it in.

They didn't add WT to the banner until late May.

Todays edition of the Register says the official site pulled in a record three million visitors yesterday.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of # 16, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

3 million hits is good news and bad news. Good News is that CP were successful on building anticipation and suspense of Top Thrill, and therefore millions want to know about it.

Bad news, it means the park will be crowded heavily.

While that number is impressive, I bet less than half of them were unique visitors.

There is a difference between hits and unique visitors. I bet the number is hits. But it doesn't matter ... 3,000,000 hits is very impressive.

hits is the number of requests to get some thing from the server, ex. each picture would be a hit. So, yet it is impressive, it doesn't mean 3mil unique IP addresses.

It is very bad that there are so many hits, i guess the lines are going to be very long during the first season or two

The REAL question is when they are going to fix the spelling of the General Manager's name on the video interview page.

What's wrong with the construction photos? They go to a page saying there's no such page.
