The Sound of Number 16

I was just wondering, for anyone who has ever gone on Xcelerator, If they could describe the noise a hydraulic coaster makes when it launches. (Like how WT LIMs seem to "scream" or like PT goes "whoosh". What kind of sound does a hydraulic launch like #16 make?

You cant explain sound, I can say scream, but how many different types of screams are there!

I remember someone saying that the launch will be very quiet. More quiet than PT.

We need a fairly quiet ride. Noisy rides make make the park sound polluted, I think.

You'll hear the roar from the track more than you'll actual hear the launch. Unless thats what your talking about?

It's loud for a short moment, and thats when the train passes by you. The launch sounds like a vacumn/scream/airplane engine. When the sled is being pulled, the engine creates a high pitched sound, but as soon as the train disengages from the sled, it slowly quiets down. Overall, I'd say is sounds like someone playing a low-pitched Kazoo.

In that case, wouldn't it sound a lot like Talon--a lot of RCTesque screams and not much else?

The CPlaya 100--6 days, 9 parks, 47 coasters, 2037 miles and a winner.....LoCoSuMo.

That video gives you the idea, the loudest part will be when the train first leaves the station, that is if they launch it from the station like KBF does Xcelerator.

Mostly, except the roar of the train is much more noticable on the Intamin track than the sand-filled B&M track.

well...you won't necessarily 'hear' that sound...
although one of your other senses might pick up i reckon...

I'd like to see (well.. hear actually) A B&M sitdown flat launch. I will soon hear the Incredible Hulk's launch in April, but with the way B&M's roar, now THAT would be a nice sound.
