Probably landscaping. The MF site looks very different now than it did during construction. I remember standing under what would later be the transfer, and you'd be amazed and how much lower the ground was in relation to the footers.

While I can't tell for sure, it at least appears that there's a concrete retaining wall going up around that turn. I wouldn't be surprised if the top of it was height flush with the track, giving it a low profile appearance.

Do you think that it's possible that they might build that up a little so that it can be filled up with water?

Maybe it's a space being prepared for the future....like another ride going over the turn around?

I like Jeff's idea. Why else put rebar right there? You don't see a landscape like that much.

That would be the perfect spot for a photo opt. Just imagine having that beast behind you in the picture.

actually they're building an identical ride above it... the two turnarounds will be on top of each other... one goes one way, the other goes the opposite.

Hey "got one", I like your sense of humor, and your wishful thinking! I've always said that a coaster hill should go over Space Needle, but I like your idea even better!

Well why not? In theory they could put another coaster above the turn around. Just an idea! I like the Space Needle one....I have an idea....take out DT and make room for better rides!

If there ever is a coaster in this area.. I'm sure they're not already preparing for it. If I was CP, I would sit back for a few years and realize that NO park in the world has a coaster even close to the size of #16.

I love how at the end they say "Welcome to Alaska, please wait for the train to make a complete stop then lift up on you harness and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point!"

I thought i was in Alaska??

I think the last time I rode DT was when it opened. I just don't much care for it, but I don't think they will remove it, because it gets alot of riders when it's raining outside!

It only gets riders when people dont think its, "Just a building". You'd be supprised how many people I know who ask me, "Hey do you know what that big building at Cedar Point is, the one with the numbers and letters?"
