Does anyone have a satelite picture of Cedar Point like they used on "World's Largest Amusement Park" the Discover Channel special???

Yea - spring 2001. If you look closely, you can see LHP being completed, the Magnum trains are on the track, and there is a MF train on the track somewhere on the island.

For whomever posted the FIRST image, can you still size it down somehow?

That's an image I exported and posted on my space. Obviously, it's incredibly large. I tried to find a happy medium between size and detail...the more it gets compressed, the less detail there is when one zooms in. I can shrink it from 12 MB to 4MB, but it's all crappy and I'm on dialup now, so I'm not going to spend a few hours uploading it. I'll do it in January when I'm back at school.

By the way, the image came from a disk I bought for 2 dollars at the Erie County Auditor's office. It's a georectified image of the entire county, used by the tax assesment officers for many things. It's a 600MB file and MrSID viewer is also on the disk to view the file.

I have taken the pic that MDOmnis posted and compressed it, put it into a .zip file, and put it up on my webpage. It is available at http://www.oakland.edu/~crwoelke/cpjpeg.zip if you want it. The compressed size is about 56 MB, down from about 195 MB for the BMP picture Windows downloads.

!?!

The file I uploaded a while back is a 12MB .jpg! Does windows convert images into .bmp when you download them or something? That's really odd.
