Remember the Trabant?

With all the the attention Schwabinchen received when it was announced that it was leaving do you remember the Trabant that stood near the Scrambler? I think it ran from 1966 to 1990. It was quite similar to Schwabinchen exept that the platform was level. So for many seasons you could ride Schwabinchen and just walk down the Midway and take a spin on Trabant.

I have video of the Trabant that I'm going to have to get on my site one of these days.

I remember the Trabant very well. I thought it was a great ride, it seemed to create more of a dropping sensation than Schwabinchen.

It's great to live in Ohio!

That was my favorite ride when I was a kid...
