How has Wicked Twister been running recently? I'm going this weekend. I've rode it two times, second week of the season and this summer. GREAT ride.

Not quite as intense as it use to be, since it's still not completely at full power, but it's running MUCH better than it was in July.

You're insane. It's as full power as it ever was, and giving rides as good as those on media day.

When did they speed it back up?

Now, Cedar Point is "Bulding for the future."
Coincidence?

I agree that the last time I was in the park, it was full power, but still not the same as opening day. On opening day, you were sent up the back spike all the way twice. Now, that simply isn't true.

I kinda like having the negatives as you stall out on the rear spike on the first reverse launch...but I still hope it will be back to opening day glory next season.

Matt is correct. Early in the season both backward runs were at full power. Now, only the second backward run is at full power, the first backward run is about the same as the first forward run. This is also noticeable if you pay attention to the faint whine of the LIMs coming on. They come on only for a second or two right at the start of the first backward run, but they are on for a much longer time during the second backward run. I'm not really sure which program I prefer. In some ways it is kind of nice having one mellower backward run.

To me, I almost prefer riding in the front now. What made the back so special was the fact that you went nearly all the way up the back spike twice!

Currently, in the front you get a little twist on the first launch, a whole lot of twist (nearly all the way) on the second launch, and a medium twist on the third launch. I guess I just prefer that to the little twist/big twist you currently get in the back.

It is not running the same as it was opening day. Opening day you were launched to the top of the spike everytime. I remember in high detail the front & back cars coming about 10 feet from the top of the ride. It is not on full power.

Wrong... you were never launched to the top every time. Check the video in the gallery.

It's not even that, I'm talking about half-climbs to either side. The only thing different right now is that the first backward launch doesn't go quite as high. The rest of the cycle is the same.

It would be nice to get two full backward launches, again. Perhaps we may get rides like this next season.
