Hi I'm writing an "AMERICAN HERO" essay about Rom Toomer and all the information I can find is the rollercoasters that he disigned. I was wondering if anybody knew any information about him or any websites that could tell me about the rest of his life. I need info ASAP! Thanks BYE

I just think it is interesting that he really never rode anything that he designed. So much of the modern coaster is attributed to his early designs. I am really puzzled though. Did anyone tell Ron that the wheels needed to be redesigned so that the ride was not so bumpy? Arrow roughness is just so commonplace.

I guess he has motion sickness so he won't ride coasters. Some think that one of the attributing factors to their rough transitions and non-springed wheels is because he had never ridden.
