What do you guys think of a Thurst Air in '07? If you start putting things together such as the large compressor room and the clearing of WWL it kind of makes sense. And now theres a trench that leads from the room to the clearing, which might hold air. They also have time to pour large footers and allow for curing. Just a thought.

I think it is a terrible idea.

They already have Dragster which takes care of the launch/height/speed/rush issues.
I would rule a TA out of the equation. They haven't really been that much more reliable and the compressor room is being used for Skyhawk.
I can say that the s&s at kings dominium is a waste of time. We waited in line for over an hour, and were very dissipointed by the ride. It may have been a case of anticipointment.
First off, the ride was VERY uncomfortible for me, and the ride had a boring layout. The launch was OK, but thats it.....just ok.
I guess that after riding ttd, everything else that is launched just does not compare.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
The trench is probably to run utilities (power, water) over to the compressor room. I wouldn't be suprised if there is a mainline that runs down the midway there that they are tapping into to splice off the utilities.

Although I do agree the removing of WWL is signaling they want to start construction for somthing in 2007 early-mid season like they did with TTD. However, I highly doubt it would be an S&S Thrust Air. Yet again, in 2002, some people didn't think it would be an coaster like Xcelerator. We'll have to wait and find out.
I can't see CP building a coaster for 2007, and can't see them building another launch coaster. I would rather see a new state-of-the-art log flume with special effects.

Kylepark, I'm really interested to hear why you don't think CP will be getting a coaster in 07? By no means am I being sarcastic, just interested.

101 on Magnum and counting...
It really don't matter to me what they have lined up for 2007 as long as me and my family are there to enjoy whatever it is
Why does it seem that almost everyone is of the mindset that Kinzel is going to give us some uber coaster in 2007? He only said, and its rather tentative to begin with, that he wanted to top TTD. Now if you really think about it, Kinzel is the CEO of CEDAR FAIR, so it wouldn't be hard to top with a chain expansion of some sort.
But I don't think we'll be getting a Thrust Air, and I don't think it would really do that much for the park anyway.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
The S&S airlaunch coaster Dodonpa has a really good launch. 106.9 mph in 1.8 seconds.....Impressive! Though its height compared to speed is odd. At only 170 ft, those brakes on the incline (like the ones on HyperSonic XLC) must be REALLY PAINFUL in order to slow the trains to a proper speed for the height.
I personally wouldn't want to ride a coaster like that. Launching then slowing it down like that defeats the purpose of the launch. It's like making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich then throwing it away without eating it!:)

I would have to say no to the TA. But how about a ride like Revenge of the Mummy at Universal(both of them)? I haven't ridden it but it sounds pretty cool. Pretty big $ tag though.
I would really like to see something like this.

Its different than anything else in the park or around the US.
I believe that Dodonpa is layed out in such a way that there are turns and a lot of track before the launch, which would explain that high launch but small hill. I think there is still some brake activity on the incline, but not jamming or anything like what some people here might be thinking.
I have been on Hypersonic and, as intense as the launch is, I just don't see it being put in while they have TTD. Hypersonic has also experienced a lot of downtime and the layouts made so far have left much to be desired by a "major" park.

A Vekoma Motorbike would be a good family addition!
With the exception that they are mechanical nightmares to work on. Just when you think Vekoma couldn't do any worse than their recline and launch system on the flyers, they came out with this one.

I would hate to see anything Vekoma, or Maurer-Sohne(SP).
I'd be glad with a B&M or, in my dreams, a 4D that has been redesigned. If CP announces one of those, I will drive the three hour drive down to Sandusky and worship the Cedar Point gods.
In reality...I B&M floorless or a very nice looking Flyer like Tatsu, would be great.

I guess no one likes my idea. I dont want a flyer or floorless at CP. Reason being is they allready have them at Geauga Lake, which for coaster fans is a couple of reasons to go there. I think it would pull people away from GL to ride the flyer or floorless at CP, not a wise choice in my book. We need a new design that people in this area have not seen yet or been able to ride.
