Like most coasters, you need to ride them to know where the ride will hurt you and then be prepared for those points of the ride. Half of the thrill of the ride is the stand up part. But if the ride attendants don't make sure your in tight, you may have room to slip out of the restraints, fall to the ground and sue the hell out of them! It is for your safety and I think the crew always does a good job! I for one want to get off, see my ugly mug shot and get right back on it.
Although I do have to say my wife will ride it once and she is good for the day. She ranks it about #7 in the park.
And you think that matters to me, Why?

But Ben, since when does following "proper operating procedures" mean "take your sweet ass time?" In my opinion, it's all about attitude with their crew.
I know a couple of people on the crew very well, and I can guarantee you that the slow loading time has to do with operational procedures, not them taking their sweet time.
Maybe if you worked the ride, you would understand.
This year one of their crew members tried to explain to me why the ride was so much more difficult to run than any other ride because of the seats, but I wouldn't have any of it. Every ride has some sort of annoyance to deal with from an operational standpoint, but you find a way to deal with it efficiently. I've personally heard their crewmembers in the break area boasting about the sarcastic comments they've made towards guests over the PA while on spiels.
This isn't just something that's been evident this year, it's an ongoing problem with the crews of the past few years.

That's the way I prefer to ride, rathofdoom, but the crew is instructed to make sure the bike seat is in constant contact with the rider. I admit whenever I get that one inch it is a much more comfortable ride than when the seat is snuggly against me.
I've found that it's quite easy to fool the ops...As long as you don't ride in front.
Right when they say on the mike that they're locking the seats, you just slouch the slightest bit. I've never been "caught" yet. *** Edited 9/15/2004 2:54:59 AM UTC by rathofdoom***
