Your Dream Coaster

Say that you had 20 trillion dollars and 400 Acres of land. What kind of roller coaster would you build. What would you do to the land. Who would you want to design it? What features world it have?

Magnum XL-200 Drop:3
My dream coaster is already built. It's Millennium Force:)

Mantis How Much Can You Stand?
I think we should have a petition to get Bill Gates to use some of his money to make an amusement park with roller coasters that are unparalleled with any other in the world.

My dream coaster would incorporate elements from every coaster already out there, and last for 1 hour.
My dream coaster would be exactly like MF, except I would have mine drop underground off the first hill.

With mine, the land would be covered with trees, The roller coaster would be the color of Drechen Fire, I would want either Morgan or Intamin to build the coaster. It would have a large Cobra Roll, 2 Loops. Worlds first Triple Corkscrew and a lift of 309 feet (wouldn't want to kill my fav. coaster with my dream coaster)

Oh come on get creative. Here is my "Dream Coaster". Build a time machine with some of my 20 trillion. Go back grab all the great coaster desingers and lock them in a house for 1 year. The roomates would be: John Miller, Herbert Schmeck, Fredrick Church, Jhon Allen, Curtis Summers, Charlie Dinn, Ron Toomer, Karl Bacon, Walter and Clyde (a.k.a B&M), Stan Checketts, also the one, the only Harry Traver! They will stay in the house untilthey have desinged a coaster to my liking. After they were done I would send them back to the exact second I took them from. Then using more of the 20 trillion I would hire one million workers to construct the monster of a ride.

Can you imagine what Traver could have done with steel!!!

Isn't that what Cedar Point is?

Lets see... My dream coaster. 500' drop, 90 degree, 150mph (or whatever you can reach at that highth and angle with friction), aprox 40,000' of track, 15 inversions (1 sea surpent, 2 cobra rolls, 1 diving loop, 2 incline loops (tillted loop on mantis),tripple corkscrew, huge 300' loop, 2 zero-g rolls), at least 60 seconds of airtime (all differnt types, back car 1st hill kind, huge hill (shivering timbers), bunnyhop kind), 4 tunnels, trick track. Track would be like Intamin Track (MF style) with interchangable cars such as, floorless cars (5 point flight harnes), regular sitdown (no ots), stand-up (5 point flight harnes insted of bulky OTS), MF style trains. Some overbaked turns, some flat (for good laterals). Magnetic brakes, MF smoothness. Tons of headchoppers, tons of trees, cool neon lighting at night, with some neon chaser lights, high end lighting system for supports. Water misters at certain spots in the ride to cool you off even more. Strobe lights. Thats all I can come up with right now.

Car 5, Discovery Channel, look for me on the
on-ride discription.

Personally, I like Magnum 1989- 's idea. That's very creative. To add, I would give them specific elements that I wanted incorporated, like the overbanked turns on MF. I love those things!! I don't know if I would want 300' tall, mabye about 260-275'. Large vertical loop or two, as well as a diving loop aka Mantis (TCFKAB). Another thing I've always loved is how B&M's always turn right-then-left so smoothly, the banking seemingly perfect. Also, obviously I want the thing going in and out of itself, not an out and back. I love out-n-backs for the ride, but I just love the look when a track just looks like a big mess like Raptor and Mantis. The cars would have to be open, like MF, and lap bars, no horse collars for me thank you!

Not Curt Summers! Nononononononononononononononononono

Smooth was not in his vocabulary! At least Dinn left a viable legacy!

And why don't I see Fred Church [Prior&Church, Riverview Cyclone, Rye Beach Aeroplane, half of Traver's work, etc...] , Denise Dinn-Larrick [CCI] or her designers, or Mike Boodley [GCI] in that list?

=)

I'd love to see a Church/Travers/CCI collab that managed to combine the features of the Rye Beach Aeroplane and Shivering Timbers, in th 130ft range, featuring either P&C or NAD trains. =)

And then Toomer and Stengel can bicker over what hyper they want to build.
The next coaster at CP.
-------------
Raptor '00 Count: 45

I would have Intanim Build me a MEGA Coaster 510 ft. tall, 502 ft. drop. Overbanked turns No loops. Designed almost like MF. But will be much longer and shatter every coaster record

Went Full Force: 2
Kicked The Sky: 5
Stood up to it: 4
Magnum:10, MeanS: 5
Ok with that much money I would contract NASA as my sole coaster designer. The whole agency would be at my disposable.

Crack opening Can o'Aburdity:

The queue lines of my monster 20 trillion coaster would still have Pepsi machines except the beverage would be served in a champaigne glass. The queue would be indoors with air conditioning. There would be no standing in my dream coaster's queue. It would have moving chairs. Each chair would have it's own personal stereo and miniature tv set with 200 channel cable available.

The coaster would be truly enormous. After successfuly completing a lap you'd be fully qualified to participate in any manned space mission. :o)

A stand-up inverted! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!:):):):):):):)
Floorless Standup!!!!!!!!!!!!HAHAHAHAHA Beat ya there!
I can see the sign for the floorless standup now:
Warning to males, Those of you who plan to reproduce DO NOT RIDE!

Remember, line jumping is NOT a sporting event!
My coaster would be mostly underground or enclosed, about 5 minutes long, and very similar to the mine car chase scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I love indoor rollercoasters.

"Sir, Shouldn't You Buckle Up First?"
"Aaahhh BUCKLE THIS! LUDICROUS SPEED, GO!!!!!"-Spaceballs
Thats the funniest post I've ever read!
How about a launched coaster going up a tower 400 feet tall then diving 500 feet beneath the Earth's surface then into a loop 200 feet tall, 3 cobra rolls, 6 corkscrews all in a row into a 150 degree overbanked 720 helix and then a lanuch another 900 feet to a tower 400 feet above the Earth's surface then plummeting back into the station! Guess what the ride intensity for RCT would be! Maybe around 1000 *** This post was edited by iluvcp on 7/31/2000. ***
Would this ride have submersable(sp) cars? Because if you go down 500 ft. below the surface of the earth, I'm sure you will be just a bit under the water table.:)
