When you start a countdown more than 150 days before opening day. Then proceed to type it out and hang it in your locker at school.
"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"
When you act as a tour guide to your fathers friend and his friends.

Those were the days.
In the middle of winter you can "romanticize" about the "fun" of working an open to close (on a midnight close) on a Saturday in the middle of July... and you worked in "Food Operations"!

When people ask you if you work at Cedar Point becasue you were wearing a red Dragster polo shirt that looks exactly like the uniforms the Challenge Park workers wear.
Can you believe I was asked 7 times during a visit, 4 of which were ride ops!!:) lol

When your final essay in your history class must have to do with something between the years 1650 and 2005 and you try to convince your teacher to let you write about the development of the park since 1870. He said no :(.

1.) You have an entire 200 page notebook filled with Cedar Point facts - and memorized them.
2.)You have labored hours and hours at your own CP website . http://hometown.aol.com/snake2122004/cp.html
3.)You cheer every hour it gets closer to opening day.
4.)You are continuosly (sp?) writing 3 full - length books on either facts on Cedar Point, Cedar Point history, or fiction taking place at Cedar Point.
5.) You are actually taking time to respond in this post

Arguing with a coaster enthusiast is like wrestling with a pig in mud. After a while, you realize the pig enjoys it.
when you love the take off of an airplane because you get that somewhat feeling of being pushed back into your seat like on a coaster. when you drive extra fast over bumps just to get the slight feeling of air time. lol.

I was standing next to you in line for Millennium Force on closing day when your cell phone started ringing. My buddy next to me was like "Hey nice ring tone!" Haha. *** Edited 1/4/2006 2:41:06 PM UTC by Jethro***

"Or when you look at the drive as part of the experience."
I love going route 2 from Toledo to the Point. Lots of memories!
You know you have it bad when...All this warm weather we are having keeps creating that anxious CP feeling deep in the gut. Then you look at the calender and cry since it is only January.

I can understand the drive thing, but not to Cedar Point. Since I grew up in town, driving to Cedar Point is the same as driving to the grocery store (albeit, a much more fun destination!).
However, we've driven to Florida a few times. Call me crazy, but I always loved the drive down - even if it does take 18 hours or so. I always looked forward to it and enjoyed the time in the car. I love a good road trip.
I guess it's fun just to see the scenery on route 2 instead of the turnpike......well ok not really scenery but rather I dont feel like paying the toll(as small as it is). Plus I like going over the Edison Bay bridge and seeing CP in the distant....gets me pumped.:)

You move from being 5 mins from work and 1-hour from Cedar Point to being 10 mins from The Point and 45 mins from work.
Just love it 2-3 nights a week, 2-3 rides per night.
At 63 years old I am still a kid.
