I guess it kind of makes sense that there's less activity here because there's not much to talk about during the off-season. We can't share how our days were at the park since it's closed. We can talk about the new construction, speculation and a few other things. I have alot more to say when I'm going to the park regularly.

I think it would be nice if there was a forum here where we could discuss non-CP things. Most forums dedicated to a specific topic have a forum for general talk. I'd love to be able to talk about The Walking Dead, games, movies, and other stuff with other PointBuzz users.

I know what you mean. Now it's 25 people, I wonder what they're checking in on? Waiting on the edge of their seat for noggin's response to dead sexah? It's a cliff hanger(!)
Maybe they're checking in hoping to find someone said something interesting or the status on Shoot the Rapids.

Waiting for a response isn't that big of a cliffhanger compared to The Walking Dead, I have to wait until February 9th to find out what happens next.

I have not been following the Walking Dead, I know zombies are a big thing and all. Maybe I'm better off since you have to wait that long. But I was grossed out and traumatized seeing the older Dawn of the Dead and don't want to see anything like that again anyway.
My previous post was all tongue-in-cheek, though! I have a tendency of being facetious on here.

You know it's the off-season when a ride on Corkscrew sounds fantastic.

^It is fantastic during the season too...

My favorite part of Corkscrew is the part when I'm walking down the exit. :P

Corkscrew itself is OK I just don't like the seats. There's a bulge that hits me right in between my shoulder blades up a bit towards my neck.
Ride corkscrew in a good seat and ride it right, it's a fun ride. Honestly that bunny hill gives about as much airtime as one of the final hills on Maggie or the camelback on Maverick

Prefer 21 or 22 or 53/54, but the last two don't have same comfort effect, but do have more aggression
Ride 21 or 22 prop feet against fiberglass wall in front of you, prop arms up and lock restraint enough to secure properly and safely per individual, but enough of a gap to do a shoulder shrug (basically don't self staple). Dispatch and enjoy the view to the left (right is nice but I like seeing the bay). When at lift crest, keep feet propped that way pushing into the seatback, rest hands on top of the car you're in, ride the ride like that the whole way. It for some reason makes the 45 degree lift hill feel steeper, dunno why. It also makes the bunny hill beautifully intense, almost like no hands on Power Tower. When it comes to loop/corkscrew, if it causes pain, keep propped the same way but press your shoulders into the top of the OTSR and keep firm and head stuck out a bit so it doesn't bash left or right.
Test rode everyday I could like that, had a blast everytime. Still ride like that to this day. I miss popping pedals though...I accidentally did my pedal once this year and locked the car, it was odd to have that much muscle memory to do it.

Yep. The difference is the spine-crusher that follows, directly onto the hard plastic seat back.

Car two seat one. Seating is if you looked overhead reading them. 1 is L, 2 is R, 3 is 2nd row L.
Also Dvo...you must be a bit frail...there's alot worse things to ride..there's a padded seat bottom and OTSR and a headrest...You're riding the ride for a bit over 2 min, only about 1:10 of it is actual ride, rest is brakes/lift, ect.
Wanna ride something uncomfortable, get a high seat staple on Mantis and wait for the brakes.

Gee whiz, I'm going to have to print off your instructions and take then to the park with me, they seem more complicated than Mean Streak's.
Wonder if I can read it while riding, "Now at this point you.."
I'm sorry, it's struck me funny. :)

Lol it's not that difficult. Details just help you see it more. Once you sit down and do it, done deal.
Corkscrew is a ride at first I was excited I got on a coaster, not the one I wanted but ah well. But when you learn about it, the history, the ride, and spend time around it, it's actually a highlight to me now. Set aside I was on it's crew an anniversary year, I will still appreciate the ride I get out of it.
My only thing I have against it is Park Op needs to seriously reconsider the plague of terrible operational procedures they've brought to the ride since 2011. It's getting much worse..
