Yet Another Example of CP Stupidity(TM)

Explain to me the one way only issue in the Fright Zone. By doing that, the park has pretty much created an unwanted bottleneck/congested area/overcrowded area by Snake River Falls, is it just me? Or has the park made another stupid decision? (And I thought they were done for 2003)

Werewolf Canyon: it's a lot like shopping for a christmas tree. Only, with werewolves.
If you had been at the Park this past Saturday, and Saturday, October 11, you would have realized the midway was ALREADY PACKED. From the unload platform on Millennium, I could not even see the ground there were so many people. I agree with the one-way decision.

The one way decision was to reduce the crowds and the confusion. It was mayhem when you had crowds of people walking both directions in the fog, with people jumping out at you.

At least this past Saturday, the one-way made sense...with the enterance of the Fright Zone near Toot Sweets, and the exit near Werewolf Canyon.

I for one am glad to see that CP added Freight Zone. . .it's not every day that truckers, captains of ships, and delivery men can get a good scare. Ooooooh man.

But for the people in the back of the park that didnt know about it- it only made things worse. all the people in the back of the park going towards the fright zone on the bridge+the people waiting for werewolf canyon+ the people coming out of the fright zone that luckily were at the front of the park=mass caos/confusion.

Jeeaz! Dont diss CP on a CP Fan site...thats just yet another example of stupidity from you.
Before it was turned into one way path, it was pretty much gridlocked. What's so fun about being with thousands of other people barily able to move anywhere? Fright Zone is a section of the midway turned into an attraction. Like any attraction, it has a capacity. Just before the crowds in Fright Zone reaches the point where it becomes significatly less entertaining is the capacity. It was decided that the decrease of people in Fright Zone would reach more tolerable levels if they made it one way.

The park would have been more enjoyable with less people; however, what are you going to do with everyone else? Tell them to go home?

Cedar Point deals with very large crowds in any way possible. Some decisions made aren't the best possible, but perfection is simply unachiveable. Making an amusment park run is very hard, making it run well is even harder. No one person can make Cedar Point run, it takes many people. Everyone including employees and guests, perceive what is right and "stupid" in different ways. One of the reasons why perfection is unachiveable is because everyone's idea of it is somewhat different.

If anyone can make a park that runs better than Cedar Point can, do it. If you accomplish this, you'll be rich. :)

Having the FZ one way was a wise decision by CP. However, the direction on Oct 11th from the skull to Cedar Junction was just plain wrong. All those people packed in between the CJ and the train crossing created a hazard—especially when the train was coming in.

If you were a Screamster or worked in the Fright Zone on one of those Saturdays, then you would appreciate the one way decision and wouldn't think of it as an example of "Cedar Point" stupidity.

Now the idea not to make it one way would be a good example of stupidity;)

If you entered by Toot's and sweets and exited by Werewolf Canyon there would be a hell of a lot more people by Snake River Falls. Now I was not there, so I could be wrong, but did anyone ever think that the big crowd was because of Werewolf Canyon?

If only you'd realize that we are some of the park's biggest fans and critics... at the same time.

That and the people who have been around long enough to actually "get it."

Wasn't trying to be cute, Jeff, I'm sorry, I didn't know it was "reserved" for people such as yourself. I must have missed that in the newspaper. This is my opinion. take it or leave it. Thats the problem with this website, opinions are trashed if they don't agree with Almighty Jeff. Sheesh, sorry for posting my opinion and not going with the rest of the crowd. My god, people, its only my opinion.

Only an opinion? Tell that to Rush Limbaugh. I have disagreed with Jeff on a few issues over the years. The reason I am not "trashed" is because I don't try to be a smarta$$.

As for going with the rest of the crowd, this crowd goes in a million different directions so I wouldn't be worried about that.

No one is trashing your opinion, we just think you're wrong. If you can't handle people disagreeing with your opinion you should keep it to yourself, because opinions are like... well, you know how that goes.

And this gem, ladies and gents, is the Ironic Post of the Week! I know it's only Tuesday, but come on, who's topping this one?

This amazing display of Irony happened so fast you may have missed its beauty. Let's watch again in Super Slo-Mo, shall we?

He starts with a basic 'I'm the outsider' whine..

I must have missed that in the newspaper.

Then into a half-twist-and-moan...

Thats the problem with this website,

Into a 180 Hitler sulk, but just getting warm...

Sheesh, sorry for posting my opinion and not going with the rest of the crowd.

Whoa! Right into an 540 I'm-the-only-person-here-with-a-Brain and then the jaw-dropping finale

My god, people, its only my opinion.

Breathtaking! After all the wailing over people who disagree with him, then he says its only his opinion! Were this a physical act of gymnastic skill, he would have tied himself into a double knot and vanished!

Oh, by the way Neo...I still haven't trashed your opinion. Just your attitude. Toodles.

I would give it a 9.5. I don't think the degree of difficulty was there. Still, better than the judge from Germany who gave it a 7.5. Apparently she didn't appreciate the Hitler-like euphemisms.

I think CP made the right decision to make it only 1 way into Fright Zone, With 60,000 in the park, It would just become too congested if you allowed people from both directions so although it was probably a difficult decision to make in a limited amount of time, I definatly think it was the right one,Would you really wanna be crushed to death with a few more hundred people around you with think fog absolutly everywhere so you cant see. This would have only lead to many accidents and a lot of complaints from guests.

And anyway this Saturday just gone(18th October) the rule was not being enforced despite there actually being a sign near the Warewolf Canyon saying it was no entry and one way, Basiclly although there was some staff at the entrance, they were not enforcing the rule and me plus everyone else were strolling through without any problems so it was only on that one day last week so its really no big deal.

I have no problem with the one way policy. It might be an inconvenience, but at least fright zone stayed open. You have to deal with traffic some way, and I think that's better than having a huge line for the Fright Zone. If you want to go the opposite direction of the flow of the fright zone, you can always just take the train.
