Xtreme Trampoline!?!

Greetings:

Has anyone heard anything about this new attraction? I assume it will be at challenge park, new for 2004. Possibly to replace Vertigo. The blurb i found was on the bottom of the coastermania 2004 flyer. (Lower left corner) Here is a link courtesy of virtual midway. Thanks for posting the flyer Walt. :-)

Total Dragster rides = 14

Total TTD Rollbacks = 2 (I thought I had better odds on the Mega millions)

It's already there and was there for a good portion of last season. It looked like mostly little kids on there every time I walked by.

They've got those all over the place. Not nearly as fun as VertiGo was, but neat none the less. Just a bungee-trampline sort of combo...

But then again, what do I know?

Thanks guys, I'll have to check it out. While we're on the subject, has anyone found a foolproof way to conquer the ladder game? I tried several methods, even "pulling" myself up the ladder, but it didn't work.

I won a free ticket to go on it at an employee game night. It was pretty fun, but it kinda hurt your arms when you flip. You have to be under a certain weight to go on it, and they do weigh you, but if your close, they'll let you on. It is a cheap thrill though, it only costs like 3 or 4 dollars.

Its free if you have Joe Cool and it is before noon too. Thats the only reason I did it once, and I failed terribly.

To go to Coastermania you need a Cedar Point season pass, an coaster club membership, and the ticket you buy at the gate. Does anyone know of a free coaster club that would be OK with Cedar Point. I can't wait all those ERT rides
You don't have to have a Cedar Point season pass to get into Coastermania. But if you do have one (or any Cedar Fair pass for that matter), you don't have to pay the $32 to get in.

Also, rather than thinking about "all those ERT rides," you might be safer thinking about ERT as Extended Riding Time, rather than Exclusive Riding Time. Coastermania has been a very popular event in the past. I'm not sure if holding it in September will change this, but I doubt you're going to get 20 rides during ERT.

It says you must be season pass holder in the Misc. section
Having been there a few years now, lets clarify....

A. You MUST be a member of an approved, authorized, duly noted COASTER CLUB and have a card to prove it.

B. You MUST EITHER Pay a discounted rate of $32.00 (save $11.95) OR show your season pass to gain entrance into the park.

Letter A is Mandatory, Letter B is one or the other.

Oh and as far as ERT goes, You'll be lucky to get 5 or 6 rides in on TTD. That was my max on any ert night. FYI TTD was down during last years "scheduled" time slot for coastermaniana, so a prediction as to this year is hard to make, but as far as the other rides go, it is possible to get 5-10 on Millenium, and the same on Magnum if they properly staff the ride and have all trains running.

Peace

If they use the method they use on MF to seat people on Dragster, we would have no problems... then everyone would be set.

Especially if they have "special access" I hate special accesss... They always seem to be there when either I or my friends are waiting to ride.

You hate handicapped people?

------------------
"Distance runners are experts at pain, discomfort, and fear."

I don't hate handicapped people, I hated the ride operators... they let 4 special accesses in our row... They could have alternated trains or something, but they put them in the front train, while we were waiting for the front train... we sat in the station thru 4 trains (CP doesn't allow seperation of groups w/o permission) and when I asked one of the ride hosts why they didn't alternate, she said "Don't tell us how to do our job" like really snotty like.

Hello Park Operations? I got a complaint... I walked right into park ops, with the name of the girl, and my problem.

I don't get pissed at CP that often, and it's usually employee stupidity that gets me. Honestly, I know CP trains their employees to do certain things, but they can't control what the employee says... That's a moral dilemma.

but honestly, I hope this year they have corrected this problem. I don't mind special access, because, hey, if I'm injured, I wanna have special access too. but if they would alternate front/back trains, like, if they get 4 groups of special access again, one goes in the front, one in the back, one in the front, one in the back... it'd be the easiest way to cycle the trains around, because you don't have groups of 9 people standing in the station going, "uh, are we going to get to ride as a group, or just stand here lookin' pretty?"

Not to say you didn't get sort of shafted in that particular instance, but the people that have special access do wait extra time, just like you, for the front seat. If the group wants the front seat, they tell the person at entrance giving them a boarding time and he adds the appropriate amount of time onto their wait. What I usually tried to do is give people times that are at least a couple minutes and therefore a couple trains apart. It's not fair to ask people in line to wait two trains in a row and I don't even like asking them to wait every other train.

Usually if one special access came up right after we had just put one on in the front seat, we just asked them to wait a train or two. They never minded and I think it was better for all involved.

If you're saying you had to wait four trains in a row, then you had a legitimate complaint. Four trains total while you were in that front seat line doesn't sound all that out of the ordinary.

As far as special access goes, it is a rough subject all the way around. But in their defense, they wait the appropriate amount of time just like everyone else. Just because they have gone up the exit ramp and got on, doesn't mean they haven't paid their due. I was injured a few years ago, on crutches, and had to use special access. I can honestly say that it really sucked to be at the point that day regardless. I was in pain for most of the day, and it was very agravating to get around and in places. SO, when someone has special access, you might want to give them the benefit of the doubt, smile, be friendly and wish them well. More than likely they aren't having a great day like you are!
