When Wicked Twister was being built, I know that some of the aquarium was demolished. What was that part used for that they didn't need anymore?
I believe it was the entire aquarium building that was demolished. It used to house fish, sharks, penguins and the like before briefly turning into a small video arcade. In it's last days, only the front walls were standing, keeping the demolition behind it from view. I don't think it was used for anything other than the fish aquarium.

Yeah, it spent its last few years as an arcade that no one ever went into. I have fond memories of the aquarium and its air conditioning. With the dolphin show, it was really kind of a neat thing at the park. I'm sure they're glad to not have to deal with animal rights people and the expense anymore, but it sure was an interesting era for the park.

The Aquarium was something I always had to do at least once when I visited. It wasn't particularly good by any means, but it was something different from the rest of the park. And yeah, the air conditioning was nice, too.
I kind of miss that little gift shop that was next to it, too, the one that mainly had souvenirs for kids. That's where I'd always buy my souvenir map.
