After going to CP, GL and PKI in the past 4 days, I gotta tell you, I wish CF would spend a little more resources policing the lines. In those 4 days, I managed to ride 30+ rides. The overwhelming majority of my problems were at GL and CP. While in those queue lines, (6 or so were walk ons) the following all occurred within 15 feet of me:
(All of this is loosely based on memory, I did not keep a scorecard)
13 People smoked at least 1 cigarette. While in line for MF, the group in front of me lit up at least 5 times each during the 75 minute wait.
26 People entered the line by moving ahead of me through the line until they reached someone they knew. Most people were annoyed when I tried the "non-confrontational blockade"
4 People actually left the line, got dippin dots, then re-entered the line where they left.
8 different sets of people tried to squeeze from behind me to in front of me during the queue. **One set was actually two 6 year old girls whose parents were watching and snickering as they finally maneuvered in front of me and my 5 year old daughter just in time to grab the last two seats on the next train.
40+ people were either carrying something not allowed on the ride, too big to fit, or held up the ride while they argued with the ride ops over whether their "fanny pack" was allowed or not.
1 Person actually got the train stopped on Magnum on the lift hill by filming. Besides the 10 minute delay while the ride op walked up the hill, it was actually kind of funny. Especially the interogation room (behind the Magnum Pics booth)
What is your worst queue experience?
Platinum has it's perks. So does living exactly 97.5 miles from King's Island and Cedar Point
No but the smokers in front of me did a good job of finding and flaming every spiderweb in the MF queue area. ;)

That is about how many people he saw smoking, I'm sure he's just trying to make it as accurate as possible.
People smoking is my only complaint. I don't wait in line to often. May is just a great month. :)

You *counted* all of these people? And you actually made a post about knowing exactly how many people pissed you off? Wow.
Not "exactly how many people" as he indeed said that he did not keep a score card but from the best of his memory that is what it was.
I AM NOT SIDING WITH ANYONE. All I did was correct a flawed post. Though apparently correcting flaws means you're against someone and side with the enemy... Interesting... NOT :(
At CP my worst queue line experience was when a seagul deficate on me while waiting in the Magnum line. For me, that -by far - was worse than smokers in the line.
I have had many bad queue experiences at Six Flags in Gurnee - the park and location speak for itself!
:)
Ill tell you this, I have seen people cut right in front of a ride op and that person said nothing to them...see how i feel...yea
While waiting for Millennium Force, a girl was working her way through the line behind us. I was standing there close the the DJ's booth and she asked me to move and so I asked why?
"Because my group is up there!" she replied.
I told her that's line jumping and I that wouldn't let her through.
Then she punched me really hard in the back, slipped between the rails, and ran through the grass up about a full hour's wait ahead in line. Unfortunately there was no one at the spot where the worker usually sits at the front of the freeway pass area.
And the people around me were just like, "You should have let her though and you wouldn't have gotten punched..." as I was bending over in pain.
Usually when an adult hits another adult, isn't that a crime? In the back even! I am glad she didn't have a weapon!
Worst experience ever.

Yes I did, and you took the time to throw a sarcastic insult rather than understanding or participating in the point of the post. WOW right back at ya.

Yeah, you know it's too bad that so many people on here have really become @#!holes. I know people get flamed for stupid topics, bad grammar and spelling and some other things but here lately there are a lot of arrogant people looking to do nothing but insult other people. This is a great site and some people are ruining it.
Worst: Before my second ride on Millennium Force in 2000, I got stuck behind a dude that had body odor so rich and profound it almost smelled like he had been bathing in French onion soup. Breathing was a struggle, to say the least.
Best: This is neither here nor there, but at King's Island a group of strangers and I bonded when we all noticed a guy a few queues down getting, umm, manually serviced by a girl through his clothes. We laughed, we cried (from laughing) and ended up hanging out all day.

I saw the same thing at a SF park once. I was right behind them.
A little odd to say the least.

101 on Magnum and counting...
While I was waiting in line for Maxair, there were 2 girls in front of me, and one ducked under the railing, went and got cotton candy, came back, and ducked right back under where she left. I mean, its not THAT big of a deal, since she was already there anyway. It wasnt like she was bringing a few people back into the line with her...but it still irked me.
That and I also can't stand the people smoking in the queue.

I was standing in line for MF back in 2003, i was there with my friend and my dad. About 20 feet infront of us in line there were these two girls, both about our age (16 at the time). both very pretty. for about 15 minutes, they kept looking back at us, and finally the one walked back to us, went up to my friend and said, "i was bet a quarter to do this." and kisses him on the lips. and then she walks away. i was mad that it wasnt me. my dad threw his hat on the ground and said. "damn... why couldn't that of been me!!" it was so funny!!!!
not really my worst experience, but i just wanted to share that story.
Not to mention that it is a crime which should be pursued much harder by CP police/whomever it involves. Plus the secondhand smoke thing has yet to be shot down truly, properly, and entirely. Thus it still reigns.
