"World's Largest Amusement Park" video

I never seen the special on the Discovery Channel and every year I go to the park I have been tempted to buy it. Anyway is it worth it? What are some of the things it has on it? Thanks for any info.

I bought it. It's pretty cool with all the behind the scenes stuff. It also helps get me through the off-season.

Its very nice and pretty comprehensive. I taped it when it aired a couple summers back.

They basically go through some of the departments in the park such as Rides, Shows, Security, Laser Show, stuff like that. And those segments are usually separated by ride-alongs with employees and fans of the park (I think Dan is on there).

I would recommend buying it.

If you have a hard time sleeping at night just play the Magnum segment, it will put you right to sleep. ;)

I don't know, the guy narrating it sounds funny (kind of haunting too). ;)

I personally prefer listening to the people screw up Raptor really bad...

I really enjoed the video, infact i stayed up all night till it aired again that night to tape it, lol, so if i were youi i would buy, actually i have to buy it, becuase ididn't tape the whole thing, and while we r on the subject of buying stuff from Cedar Point, is the CedarPoint-opoly game any good, i was looking at it last year, wantingt to buy, so thankx for the info!?!

There's a CedarPoint-opoly game?! I have to get it. Where did you happen to see it?

Cedar Point-opoly is available in the park's online store as well as various locations throughout the park (Speed Zone and Park Plaza have it for example).

Also, the purchased version of "World's Largest Amusement Park" contains more video than the show that was aired on TV, unless I'm quite mistaken. I believe it was at least a segment on the Planning & Design department?

Yes, if I were you I would DEFINATELY buy the video. I taped all of the segments that they played that night. For about a month straight I fell asleep to that video. It helps me get through my CP withdrawls. And Dan you did a VERY good job on telling us about Maggie :)

I don't know about that Magnum segment. It usually gives me nightmares. Some of the background scenery in the Millennium segment is fun to watch though. ;-)

were can I get this video and when will it air again???

You can get the video from Discovery Channel. I don't think you can order in online, but you can get it by calling them. That's how I got mine.

You can also get it in various locations throughout the park. I know Speed Zone has it and the Pagoda Gift Shop usually has the videos as well.

Anyway thanks everyone for the replies. I'm 99% sure I'll be buying it this year.

I bought one of them last year and it wasn't the greatest video. I don't know if they updated it this year to include Top Thrill Dragster and Wicked Twister, but it was pretty outdated and Behind The Scenes was a perk, but it wasn't worth twenty dollars.
