Working at Cedar Point during a new coaster year

Is it just me or do most of the employees at Cedar Point seem not to excited about wicked Twister? I worked at Cedar Point during the first years of the Raptor and everyone seems to love it. We had 4 ride nights during the year on Raptor alone. And the line went out to the carousel and wrapped around it. This year I returned to CP to work after several seasons and we did not have a WT night at all after I prossesed in. And many employees don't seem to thrilled about it. I liked it and it does add to the CP experience.

It is interesting to note that the Steel Venom coming to Valleyfair! will not have the double twist and is more like previous impulses

Well, the no ride nights on WT is becuase (in my opinion) Wicked Twister (from an enthusists view) was the biggest waste of 9 million $ i have seen yet. Now as I said, this is only my opinion. However, I would think working on a ride Like Raptor, Maggie, or MF for the first year has to be a great year all around.

I have a feeling that there will be subsequently more ride nights for "Dragster." At least I hope so, so I can get in on that action!

For me anyway (and many other WT Media Day people) WT is not a ride you can ride over and over again because it really does play havoc with your equalibrium. I know 3 rerides and I had to get off before I hurled my lunch. After 20 rides that day I literally felt punch drunk and had to stop riding. Many of us were still "not right" the next day either. Ride capacity may also have something to do with the lack of employee night rides, not to mention some of the mechanical problems WT seem to have. JMHO! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)

I do not agree with you at all. Wicked Twister is a great ride, and is my second favorite ride in the park at this time. I do need to site in the back seat though for the full effect.

No kidding. Stay the hell away from that ride so I can ride faster.

Where's my $20 Pete? ;)

They did schedule it for about 3 or 4 ride nights, however only one was happened (May 9). I rode it twice on May 9th and got pumped after the 2 rides I got.

For thre other nights, Just like any other time of operation, you can't operate a ride with riders if something needs addressed, so sometimes ride nights get cancelled because of weather or mechanical problems.

As for the employee excitement part. I was pretty excited about Wicked Twister. I spent some of my off time watching WT.

Wicked Twister was not a waste. It was probably one of their greatest additions. CP had no 0 (count it up folks) launched coasters.

If you compare every coaster to Magnum, Raptor, and MF, your in for a major disappointment.

I don't know what the problem would be with re-riding this coaster. My friends just think the more the better. It's one of, if not the, favorite coasters.
