I went to CP yesterday, and morning today. I rode the train this morning and noticed that there was ALOT of activity going on trucks moving everywhere, people in holes, basically the works. Also I could not really tell but I stopped by Breakers and looked at the track, is there more showing up, or did it just look like alot more becuase I say it in person? I am thinking of doing a TR soon but not sure, just thought I would let you know that I was really suprised how much activity was going on back there.
Are you kidding me?
You started a new thread to say that....wow.
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
I would hope there is activity. CP is PAYING the construction company (and thusly the workers). Ok, so CP is paying Intamin who is paying the contractor, who is paying the construction company who is paying the workers, but that's splitting hairs. Although you can be expected to see at least a couple "15" minute break's throughout the day as well as a "30" minute lunch.
Goodbye MrScott
John
I wish I could send this thread into one of those holes with the workers. And then bury it.
Seriously. This is as bad as the old Webcam threads.
Well, actually, I think it might be worse.

Well, maybe, but I don't want them tearing up football stadiums and making national events out of "possibly" finding it again :)
No football stadiums have been torn up, just privately owned horse farms. I wonder how much those people were compensated for that.

You want to bury the thread and the workers!?! What did they do?!!:)
On a serious note:
Walt, I think some additions need to be made to the Project 2007 Ground Rules thread so we can try to prevent these kinds of threads. Especially to any and all newcomes to PointBuzz.

Ah. You must not have seen the episode of MythBusters where they proved that Jimmy Hoffa wasn't in the middle of Giants Stadium :)
They didn't dig it up, though - they just X-Ray'd it or something like that.

So you want to "Hoffa" the thread?
as in Jimmy Hoffa their searching for hiim at Cedar Point, he may buried in a hole?
Im, jokeing.
If you lived in Michigan you will know what I mean, by the media making a big deal of the FBI digging up an old farm thinking Jimmy Hoffa is there when they found nothing.

I think Jimmy Hoffa is fish food

Actually, The Silverdome did have a few patches dug up in the early 90's. As well as the Leland Hotel (also known as City Club & The Ramada) at the corner of Cass and Bagley in Downtown Detroit.
My friend Sarah Klein wrote the article for the Metro Times regarding the Leland Hotel situation. I'll try to dig it up and PM it to you.
I have pictures from 6/2 and 6/6 (as well as CoasterMania) that I need to upload. I've been in Tennessee on business (you know, since PointBuzz isn't actually a full-time job), so I haven't had time get things updated.
I've been told more track has arrived and I'm sure there's been progress at the site. I should have an update on Saturday.
