Witch's Wheel -- New Height Requirements

Why was the height requirement changed to 54" for *all* riders? Last year the requirements were a rider between 48" and 60" could ride when accompanied by a rider that was 60".

Yesterday, my daughter cried for 10 minutes after we were told that she could not ride. We rode this ride last year and it was one of her favorites.

Liability insurance? Don't blame CP, blame the insurance companies.

I sure am glad they changed it. Now I can ride by myself. I am 21 and BARELY 5 ft. Last year I was wearing very thin soled flip flops one day and I had to have an "adult" ride with me. HOW embarassing!

Hey Vanessa! I'm happy too. Last year I got measured with the stick, then made to stand on the little platform thingy, before being told someone had to ride with me! So embarassing! But I know for a fact I grew an inch this year (I growth spurt at 20 hmm!)! I'm now 5ft 1/2 inch!

Yes, I remember having to accompany my 30 year old cousin last year. She is 4'10.
Good job Louise!!! I'm proud of ya! Ya think I could have a growth spurt at 21???

This seriously reeks.

Da Midget was barely 48" last summer; which meant the VF Pole Nazis would stand her on the steel platform and smack her in the side of the head from every imaginable angle until she would hunch over--you know, like someone who doesn't like getting hit--after which they'd tell me she's too short. A little applied common sense led to a few laps on our Enterprise one day last summer and she loved it. While she's still a little hesitant to board any 'grown-up' coaster this season, she was looking forward to some quality time on her favorite looping spin-and-spue. Poor Midget. First they slam the door shut on her Northern Lights exeperience as a three year-old and now this.

Spare me any pointless safety lectures--I rode WW as a four-footer, CBaby rode it as a four-footer and so did my 6 year-old. The last thing any parent in their right mind would do is allow their youngster to come to harm. Face it: They don't need an amusement park for that when the local playground offers ten times the peril for free.

CostaPlaya, go to Kennywood. Their enterprise is volcano themed and is only 46 inches. http://www.kennywood.com/fr.cfm

Heee hee hee hee. Was that a quote from Vanessa's new book, "The leetle people's guide to Amusement parks?" Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I know what you're saying though. SFGAM is closer and offers a lot more 'short folk' options for the buck IMHO. I just needed to blow off some steam. Poor little Midget. Is she ever gonna be upset.

Actually I'm glad they reduced the height requirement. It was pain enforcing that split requirement last year. I think that the 54 incher will make it a lot easier and more standardized.
