Last year, we stayed at Lighthouse Point, right on the lake, and we hit a signal, but it was a pay service. This past weekend we stayed in one of the cottages closer to the reservation / general store area, and no wifi signal was found.
I think there logic is the same as Disney. If you are in your room, on the net, you are not in the park spending money.

Which is a great idea until one of those days that it pours rain all freaking day and people don't feel like standing outside in it all.
Or better yet, if it's a stormy day/evening.
Plus those 7 o clock closings left quite a few hours after the park closed for legitimate time to be using their wireless.
I think it's a really moronic idea not to do it honestly.
The closest free Internet to Camper Village is in the Sandcastle Suites lobby.
Other free WiFi areas are the lobbies of the Hotel Breakers, Breakers Express and Castaway Bay plus Donut Time in the park.
There is also a pay service at the CP Marina, I think it's around $9.00 a day.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
When we had DSL early on, Bell Atlantic (at the time) gave us a dial-up access # to use in back-up. I was able to determine that by doing a search on their site, I can find local access #'s in whatever area I was in. We used that as much as we could.
Most cell phones have 'internet' access. What would you need wireless for other than 'rain' days or checking email?

Indy's back and just in time.
This is why I'll be staying over at the Comfort Inn. Free wireless.
I'll stay on Point when they get free highspeed in rooms.

Every resort I've ever stayed at in WDW had internet. I've stayed in almost every resort, so I think it would be a safe bet to say every resort there has internet in each room. It's definitely not free though.
If CP implements high speed in the rooms, I bet they will charge for it. I haven't been to too many "resorts" that offer free internet. For some reason, it's usually the "cheapy" hotels offer free internet. For most resorts, it's an area they can make easy money and most people are willing to pay. Plus, they need some kind of revenue to justify the installation and support costs of such an infrastructure.
I wouldn't mind paying $9 a day for high speed if they offered it at LHP.
I've paid $15. If you want it, you don't have a lot of choice.

I don't think Cedar Point has any problems with lost revenue due to lack of highspeed internet. People will still stay on point to be right there next to all the action. It would be nice to have high speed; but then again it is supposed to be a "vacation". But, then again some people like to check their mail or use their internet after the park closes. My brain goes both ways so either way I can do without the high speed.

I don't think they're losing room revenue. For instance, I don't think a lot of people are saying, "We won't stay at the CP resorts because they don't have high speed internet in the room."
However, they are missing out on potential revenue because they could be charging people $9 a day to use internet. As of right now, they're charging nothing. So, they could be making more money for providing the service.
