Yeah, but that beach gets worse and worse the closer you get to where Sandcastle was. It's frankly pretty gross especially when you get into the water. 12-18" of black muck. I know because I used to pull in there on my waverunner to swap out passengers (kids) a couple years back. I chose that spot because the water was calm due to the pier, but man was that water nasty.
I had walked down toward the former Sandcastle Suites in the early part of Halloweekends, it was quite odd. I found the little ponds to be full of algae but a fountain or two were on spraying water into the air. Other than that, there really wasn't anything else to see, but I'm not sure if there is anything to see at the current time frame.
It's always a good walk on the "Magnum Trail."
As far as things to see, I'd be interested in checking out Lighthouse Point. I think it'd be great to be able to go through Maverick's infield.
I'd love to tour Eriee Estates for a lights on tour like we did for Zombie High last year. I also think it'd be cool if we were able to tour the former Pirate Ride building.
I'm curious where we'll have our meal and the Tony/Jason presentation (as both times I've attended they have each been in different places).

'Magnum trail'. Hmm, I'll have to check it out.
As for where I'd like to tour, I'd love a lights on tour of deprivation or the slaughterhouse. Oh yeah, I have some questions about WCO. This is my first one ever.
If someone could answer these I'd be grateful.

- What do we eat during the tour?
- Are there any restrooms open during the tour?
- When do we eat during the tour? Halfway through or what?
- What's the Tony/Jason presentation about?

I don't know if that's the official name of the trail, that's what I've been calling it for years :D
1) The foods have been different both times I've went. But it's usually a good lunch.
2) There are only a few restrooms available, none as you stroll through the park, as they've been winterized. Usually at check in you can use the bathroom there, at lunch and around the presentation.
3) Eating during the tour is dependent on the time you are there. I want to say they typically do the lunch around a certain time frame, but I could be wrong on that.
4) The Tony/Jason presentation is typically an update on what happened at the park in the previous season and then they talk about what is new to the park for the year, some of which hasn't been announced publicly yet. They also have said in the past to look out for more information on something they aren't ready to announce yet.

Thanks. I've never been up that way yet as I'm still a noob when it comes to Cedar Point. XD.
Maybe they will show us the Cedar Hotels before they're destroyed? I'm in the 12:30 slot, so when do they eat.

Cedars is already in the process of being removed.
My best educated guess is that the 12:30 slot would eat around 2/2:30.

Restrooms are generally not available at all during the walking part of the tour. There is (or was the last two years) one available at tour start in or near Midway Market, then the next time one is available is at lunch, usually a few hours later. The Breakers East lobby restroom was also open last season as we had a stop at the conference room for the marketing presentation.
CP Coaster Top 10: 1. Steel Vengeance (40 rides to date) 2. Top Thrill Dragster (191 launches to date, 4 rollbacks) 3. Magnum XL 200 4. Millennium Force 5. Maverick 6. Raptor 7. GateKeeper 8. Valravn 9. Rougarou 10. Gemini
Someone just mentioned wanting to see Cedars before it is removed. Too late, as of 2:00pm today there are no longer any structures standing there, they are removing debris.
I've noticed DS Shives mention you are on Dock #12, I can tell you that presently the view of the park from there is great at this time. Hope nothing horrible is put there to ruin it.
The view of the Cedars wasnt great, but had some large trees there that pretty much hid a lot of the Cedars. We actually have an amazing view of MF and Valravn from our dock.

I can't believe this is coming up next week!!!!
My group is trying to plan things to do after WCO before heading out of town....any suggestions? It looks like the Carousel Museum is currently closed for renovations.

You could always get day passes for Castaway Bay if you're in the mood for something splashy and you're not quite Cedar Pointed out. :3 They're only 15 bucks a pop if you have a Platinum pass.

We did that last year :) and likely will visit for a part of the day! Thanks for the suggestion!

Maui Sands is somehow still open... ;)
On a more serious note, you could check out Ghostly Manor. I've been through it multiple times, and it's pretty fun.
384 MF laps
Smoking Area Drone Pilot
If it’s a nice weather day check out some of the outdoor stuff around the park, like Sheldons Marsh.
New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus
I'd check out Maui Sands....but don't wanna pay for it lol.
Ghostly Manor is in the scope of possibilities.
OOOO XS! We do like nature! So that may work too!

I might go down Sheldon Marsh myself having the latest group time (granted I get there early enough to have plenty of time to do so).
Sacrificing playing video games to ride roller coasters.
This is my first WCO, and I am so looking forward to it! I can't wait to see what they have in store for us! :) I have been wondering when the first WCO was. How many years have they done this now?

WCO has been around for probably 5-6 years now. PointBuzz used to do an off-season tour of the park and it became so popular, the park picked it up and evolved into WCO. I think I have only missed 1 going back to the PointBuzz tours.

Thanks!
