Speaking of, did I hear that Maverick no longer has the water bob-ombs?

^Can confirm that they were not operating on CoasterMania weekend.

They haven't worked all season. If you look at the pond, you can't even see the spouts anymore leading me to believe they removed them.

You can either have lights and special effects in the tunnel or water bombs but not both. Take your pick.

They appear to be gone. If you look in this pic (taken today) , you can see the tubes that produce the bombs are no longer there.

Weird, I hadn't even thought of it on our earlier visits, as there are just some days when they were not functioning. It would appear they have gone the way of the heartline roll.

And the DoDo

They are moving them to the other park along with Wicked Twister.

I was often amused when the wind was blowing towards the walkway bridge and a Maverick train came whizzing past. We would stand clear and see unsuspecting people get sprayed with that nasty lagoon water, particularly rough on colder days. When the wind was strong enough you could feel the spray while on SkyHawk.
